View Full Version : Most economic place to purchase Montecristo Sublimes?

Hello,

New to the forums. I have been purchasing Montecristo's excellent sublime cigar from a local shop for around £26/each. Checking a couple online retailers it looks like they're selling this cigar for approximately the same price.

In general, is it true that online cigar retailers don't discount much more than some shops? Or is this likely something specific to this cigar and good deals can be found online?

Thanks!

It is getting to be a rare cigar and is often £30-35 for a single in London retailers. There will not be anyone discounting them these days. I would have thought the cheapest is around £220-250 if you buy a box of 10.

Take a look at cgars.co.uk or mysmokingshop who generally are as cheap as UK retail gets. Be very cautious with any unknown online retailer as there are many fake sticks out there.

Nb-we only discuss UK sources on here.

And while you 're sharing info about where to buy puros, how about sliding over to the :willy: knewbee greet forum:willy: and sharing some information about yourself with the (ahem.) fine members of this place. http://www.pic4ever.com/images/bathtime.gif

I smoked my first of these the other day and I can't think why I waited so long. With some age on they are smooth with a fantastic light toffee flavour. Now I just want some more.

A classic cigar which is getting surprisingly difficult to source, considering it was only released a few years ago.:frown:

Poor Don TJ. I have 10 in my 3rd box but only one in my 4th :)

A lot of places have now sold out of these so if you see them, you should grab them...

Retail prices IN UK cigar shops are generally similar and certainly would not be hugely different on Monte Sublimes. Where retailers have an online operation running parallel, then the price per (box or single) will be a little cheaper.

The others are correct in that the Sublimes is rapidly entering the HTF category, so picking up a couple of EMS sticks, while you still can, is a good idea.

Yeah, not generally huge differences in price, unless something is on 'clearance' or 'special offer' but some retailers are better than others at certain things, for example 'JJfox' often have some very nice aged cigars for sale at reasonable prices.
