Sad to say but I have never bought a box of sticks before, mainly as Ive found it fun trying lots of different brands and styles but also due to the cost, I'm going over to Brugge next month though so think I might pick myself up a box of Monte no2s , anyone else yet to get a box>?

Me too, I plan to smoke as many different singles as I can to broaden my exposure before I commit to a large box, just in case I didnt like the taste.
........... and that's exactly what I did with the wife and her box!! :biggrin1:

My first box was Punch Punch about six years ago. It took me ages to decide on what was to be first. I cast around the internet for weeks before deciding. It was one of life's great excitements I think.....like getting married, kids being born etc :p

I stack mine up until I can't reach the top, then I start another stack.
:bandit: Names TJ, TJCoro, and I save all my fine puro leftovers.

They're just around the house here and there, Chris. Sometimes with old photos, sometimes with pens and pencils in them, and so on.
It's like a sexual flashback when you pick up the phone or look for a rubber and the colourful box is in your peripheral vision. Maybe even with the faintest of hums.
They are beautiful things in their own right. :cowboyic9:

I've only about four, but they are lovely to have a peek at now and again.
EDIT: none of them were full size sadly, consisting of two 10cts; one 5ct and a 4ct.

Ditto, never throw your old boxes out.I agree with Boss Hog in relation to getting as much exposure to the different vitolas and brands before deciding on committing to purchasing a box, especially if you are new to cigar smoking or are on a limited budget; lets make no bones about it, it is not a cheap hobby.
Once you have purchased your first box then the chances are you will not buy many singles from then on,purely from an economic point.

And to add to that, Whisk, there are one or two very interesting online offers of combinations of Robustos, and so on, that make experimenting very sensible.

I've never laughed so much, but so quietly, because I am sitting with my lady wife and if I laugh out loud (as this deserves) I know I will get the third degree and though she has a great sense of humour, I haven't got the energy to explain the cigar references.:biggrin1::smile::biggrin1::smile::biggrin1 ::smile::biggrin1:
