Today, because I had to work, I made my way to my London Office and sat down at my 'desk' and, as it was a nice sunny day tucked into a nice ripe Hoya de Monterey.

About 3/4 of the way through it I realised I should probably have eaten a bigger breakfast. I know Robusto has said that he quite likes it when a cigar 'beats him up' this wasn't a beating, more a swift kick in the fork so I headed off for a strong cup of tea and some nice biscuits.

Today, because i have achieved absolutely nothing, i think i will treat myself to yet another Cohiba Maduro and perhaps even crack open a bottle of malt into the bargain.Nobody said it was going to be easy!

Senor NicWing,

What a beautiful and peaceful looking place to enjoy a fine puro. Also probably a nice spot to pass out from the tough and tumble HdM.

Wonderful spot, and a fine cigar that pleases by not kicking hard.
Good time there, Nic.

Just noticed Day 96 of Robusto's holiday. :biggrin1:

Ask that Larry about US teachers' holidays. My niece and nephew in New Mexico used to have about three months off in the Summer when their school closed. Winner.

British teachers have the shortest teacher holidays in Europe.
I can sense the sympathy brewing. :849:

July is an awful month in this job. Everybody - kids, staff - wants and needs to stop at the end of June, but we plough on 'admirably' starting the next year's curriculum quite pointlessly imo for another month.

I've written on here before that a stinging Havana can be my finger in the hole of a damn of a reservoir called Insanity.

Well Morpheus, that is true. But only inside the Matrix. Out in the real world there are no more teachers.

We have 2 months in the summer, but it gets shorter by two or three days each year. It used to be 3 months. Our summer holiday is getting swallowed up by The Oracle. :(

Do not talk of the oracle, you are now in grave danger !

What's The Oracle?

Is it that bit with the woman in the kitchen which I didn't get at all?

Do your days get sucked up by the ghost of Kenneth Baker, Larry?
(Did I do that deliberately?). For "training days"? Which morph into frustrated pottery teachers delivering long speeches from the floor beyond their Prozacian state?

Raking a sandpit can be more fulfilling.
