Just got this in Edinburgh today, Mortlach 16yr old. I'd never heard of this before, but I think it's going to be good stuff. Anybody else come across it before?

Ramon, a man after my own heart.Absolutely fantastic stuff and i would definately recommend it. Has to be one of the best Speyside drams around and the one i had was the Flora and Fauna bottling, although i think Signatory also do a Rare Malts bottling. Quite unlike any other Speyside malt due to its slight peatiness and has to be the best from Dufftown.First class choice.

Ramon, that is the one.Part of Diageos release and as i said first rate stuff.I will be very surprised if you do notloke this stuff.
Should require something stronger if you are smoking with it, Partagas or Cohiba would be my first choices.

I love a nice malt. Had a couple of bottles bought me for Christmas.
They were the best I'd tried for ages, and bugger me, if I can't remember what they were.

Tony, there are some excellent malts now readily available and i still fail to see why some people insist on buying the cheap blends.I have been lucky enough to try a good few malts and there are no bad ones at all, it`s just that some are more appealing than others, depending on your taste.

Not yet, I'm trying to limit how many bottles of Whisky I have open at any time, 16 just now, and then there's the Cognac, Gin etc.

Finally I have met someone worse than myself for opening bottles, drinking half and then moving on to something else (never thought i would see the day).
I am sure you will enjoy it when you eventually get round to trying it.
