Every month my drinks cabinet gets thursty for another single malt. During the obligitory super market spirit isle mootch I noticed 2 bottles of interest;
The first was called the laddie ten and the second was called Oban 14 year old. Has anyone tried these? Which, if either, would you recommend?

I've had both and there isn't anything wrong with either. My preference would be for the Laddie.
The Oban is one of Diageo's Classic Malts whereas the Laddie is furiously independent.
Best idea is buy both, take the cork out, throw it away and drink 'em.
You won't remember much about it afterwards but you'll have had a great time trust me.

Thanks Wardjrz, i'm most tempted by The Laddie Ten and having thought about it for a good day now i'm pretty sure that's the way i'll swing :) and save myself a few quid in the process! There's a cool story there too which i'm quite excited to taste so here's to next month's supermarket dram of the month :beer:
