just wondering if any of the N0n- Cuban Montecristos are worth giving a go?

No.

Not at the price they're asking.

It's a decent cigar, but for approximately the same price you get the real thing which is far superior.

migh too sense...

Yo senor Horseman!

I haven't smoked one in a while since swearing my allegiance to the Habana, but I used to enjoy the Monty Double Corona (http://www.cigarinspector.com/montecristo-dominican/montecristo-double-corona-dominican)quite a bit. I would recommend this one if you are looking for a fine alternative to Habana puros.

:bandit: Names TJ, TJCoro, at your service!

Excellent Point, Mr. Rokkitsci.:nerd:

I hadn't realized they were that expensive.:( Indeed, since they cost about the same, I'd go with the real deal every time.:849:

NEWS BREAK!!! We just learned from the book of all books that puro aficionado don Min Ron Nee considers the Montecrito No. 2 one of his favorite puros!!!

Names TJ, TJCoro, and the prince of puros agrees me, so you'll need more than 3, mates!

No doubt. Don't we all!!! I recently smoked a HdM Epicure #2 that had a few years on it and it was superb. :849:

So I picked up another box with about a year on them and they weren't the same....good, but that as good as the older ones. So to the back of the rack with 'em for another time. :41:

Do you reckon by leaving them alone they'll eventually improve?!?! Sick period, aging etc etc....

I've had the Monte Platinum and Monte Classic versions and I couldn't stomach either one. I thought what little flavors were there tasted horrible. Just my thoughts.

Not worth the time or money. You're better off getting HDM, RyJ, and Partagas NC's.
