Fire by Rocky Patel

What is it?
A whopper of a cigar weighing in at 53 ring gauge by 7 inches in length.
A Corojo wrapper filled with Nicaraguan and Honduran tobaccos.
It states on the band "triple fermentated" what does this mean? I found out that every Fire cigar undergoes an extremely time consuming "triple fermentation" process in order to draw out the most unique and complex blends from the tobaccos that Rocky uses in this cigar.
It also states that it is made from cuban seed tobacco.
Technically not stated as a Rocky Patel as it is made by the Indian tabac and blended by him.

What does it taste like?

The initial draw picks you up and smacks you around the face,
it's spicyness numbs your lips like a overworked fluffer (http://www.wikiality.com/Fluffer) straight away which when fades reveals a rich and tasty flavour.
The "triple fermentation" does indeed create a rich, smooth "Cuban-esque" flavour to it. Then just when you thought it was safe to take your next draw the spice comes back for round two.
This progresses in this fashion throughout the enitre smoke.

How strong is it?

This is on the top side of medium strength, if it werent for the spicyness I'd knock it down to a plain medium.

The draw?

Smooth, didnt have to work to hard with it. An even burn throughout and the ash held it's own, albeit slightly 'Flakey' my trousers remained unscathed from ash.

Final thoughts?

Would I want it as a victory cigar after uploading a computer virus to the alien mothership, yes I would if I made it back to earth in one piece.
For me this is another result for the Rocky Patel Range,
Would I have another one? Definatley. Although unlike the wife, I would probably prefer it to be shorter and thicker that lasted half the time.
This was nearly a 2 hour smoke. Fortunatley I was left undisturbed with it, a rare thing for a Sunday afternoon.
Out of 10? I would go for a 7.25

And that was my first review.

First class review Boss an after having read your review i would actually contemplate trying one of these BIG BOYS.

I do feel that your justification may be valid, however I fear the fluffer reference may be lost on some of the members(no pun intended):biggrin1: who may have led a more cultivated and shelterd upbringing.Hope this is the first of many reviews.

I feel a blossoming career at the helm of CA may be on the horizon,or maybe it`s the fact i have been up for 23 hours straight and I`m hallucinating, either way, i need something stronger than coffee to keep me going.

"Fluffing reference" noted and updated to providing wiki link for clarity. Contrary to popular belief though, it's not a person who 'Blows' the spilt ash from ones trousers. :biggrin1:

Nice work Boss.
I'm itching to try a Rocky stick and am looking out for one to try first. I love these new cigar reviews from you guys. I trust you, unlike some of the published gunk, and I am always looking for that sideways comment and this didn't dissapoint.

How many contributor wives read this forum Boss??

Nice work.

What a great review! Makes me really want to try one.

No need for me to look up fluffer.
I don't just sit here and correct things, you know.
Fluffers do, though.

:vollkommenauf:Amigos, mates, and dudes,:41:

:smoke:I bought a box of these "stogies" several years ago and after only two, decided they weren't my cup of tea:dontknow:. So I may have a few left lying about if anybody wants them. :hmmmm2:

I generally like the RP and it's predecessor, Indian Tabac, but these babies failed to "light my fire?':mad2:
