This looks ok: http://www.simplycigars.co.uk/csonka-cigar-traveler-black-cigar-back-stock-p-685.html

Wouldn't mind it to store a couple more though, hard to gauge its size.

Just a thought but does anyone have a special relationship with a supplier that could put a group discount together for a set number of buyers ?

If you email Mish at sales@cgarsltd.co.uk she might be able to do something.

Deano.

Did you approach a supplier about getting a deal on travel humidors?

I need to get one as we're off to Cuba and Brussels quite soon.

I remeber seeing Monte's travel humidor in a picture that he posted on this forum a year or so ago and it looked like a bomb, or an expensive case for video cameras. Massively butch. Itr amused me - but I also wanted it! Just like Stetsons...

Stevieboy / Deano.

You eBay links have expired so there's nothing.

Not to self - Why not look yourself?

Will do. Aye.

Not really found anything cheap. Cgars Czonka or whatever they're called are quite dear, and I only bought that one as I was late in doing so.

Monte's one is on ebay quite a lot - £250 ish I think.

Cheers, Lascaux. :smoke:

Much as I'd like a metallic grenade carrier, I know I've got to be less flash and more modest.

So any simple pointers on here would be great - even if the topic has run before.

Cheers, chaps. :biggrin1:

You could always get one of the Montecristo No4 travel humis and smoke smoke smoke to make way for the traveling cigars !

I'm toying with the idea of either one of those 14 stick Csonkas or a 13 stick aluminium Colibri travel humidor. Being a frugal Scot I'm looking at buying from the US where the Csonka is about £58 inc shipping, about £20 less than Cgars. The Colibri works out at about £32 inc shipping.

Any thoughts on either?

Hi Mr O - I have both but much prefer the Csonka as it has bars to hold the cigars in place plus the hygro, cutter etc. The smokes roll all over the place in the 'Colibri' - I think that the ebay listing might be for a fake judging by the price....I have a fake one but it does the trick perfectly...:)

Being a frugal Scot I too bought my Csonka from the US but got humped for duty so it worked out more or less the same as the UK. At least if anything goes wrong in the UK you'll have some comeback - try CGars (http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/NEW-CSONKA-CIGAR-VALET-TRAVEL-HUMIDOR-HOLDS-14-CIGARS_W0QQitemZ180309692251QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_ Collectables_Tobacciana_Smoking_LE?hash=item29fb4b 8f5b&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14&_trkparms=65%3A10%7C66%3A2%7C39%3A1%7C240%3A1318%7 C301%3A1%7C293%3A1%7C294%3A50) - nice people and nice service :thumb:

cheers the noo
Steve

Cheers Stevie, i was was wondering about duty, I had it in my head, somewhere, that you were allowed to $100 'duty free' but thinking about it I have no idea where I got that from....wishful thinking probably :p
