If U enjoy crowds its a good event. If in Vegas worth going to for my BOTL across the pond. In Pa. we have cigarfest once a year, which was last wekend. Always the first weekend in may. That is worthwill just for the cigars. The price of the cigars and swag given out far outway the admission cost. Hope this helps:41:

So last weekend then...

From this side of the pond it appears there is a Big or a slightly smaller Smoke almost every weekend, Can someone pick out the best events?

I gather that with the smoking bans some states are cutting their events back.

Other that Vegas, which appears to be the main event, are there any others which stick out?

CFest is about 2,500 or so strong and its a 4 day event for some, Get a hotel and the party just keeps on day in day out.

Poconos Pa. about 21/2 hours from where I live in Pa. Maybe next year we could get a few from your side of the pond to attend. We could stay at my place when all arrive and get rooms at Splitrock resort for the 2 or so evenings . We could visit Cigars International Friday for the opening event and drive to poconos where we could have rooms reserved for friday and sat. night leave sunday afternoon crash my house sunday nite.

That sounds cool, but if we keep calling the Atlantic Ocean "the pond" I will unleash a nasty computer virus that infects all forum members and turns their posts into jpegs of TJ's various State of Mind venereal diseases. :41:

Hello folks,

Would anyone be interested in attending a regular event in the UK? We want to start a monthly or bi monthly herf here in Birmingham (west midlands not Alabama) as we have a good venue here at The Prince of Wales in Moseley, Birmingham (smoking area, 30 great malts, 25 of the best rums in the world, real ales and our own microbrewery). Obviously some events happen in London but the Midlands has some great things going for it and even just a low key gathering might make for a good evening out.

Welcome aboard Prince. I'm sure there are a few that would be interested - though perhaps this thread is not the most appropriate place for your post (after all, it has nothing to do with CA's Big Smoke).

Don't forget to head over to Newbie Greets and introduce yourself.
