Hi chaps. I have a bit of a 'thing' for the ELs and I'm determined to complete the set :p
I've smoked at least one of each except the HdM Particulares but would love them all.I keep them in their own wee desktop humi...so sad, I know :41:
If anyone can fill the gaps, I'd be up for a trade :biggrin1:

Wow....lovely set, do you have only one of each? How do you resist the temptation to smoke them, I don't think I could resist, would have to have some spares for weak moments! Especially after a fine meal and a few bottles of fine wine....well done, hope the set gets bigger.
Mate ive just done a sex wee :biggrin1:

Cool.
I didn't set fire to it in case it wasn't mate. Looking at the pic, I was pretty sure it was, but as you hadn't got back by the time I got my head down, I thought I'd wait
Probably have it today, but stickstock is low:(

I have a box of MC EL robustos, I think that might be the one near the middle of the photo?

Thats' the ones Duncan!! Have you ever seen either of the Particulares? I have a non-EL box of 5 from 2003 but I've never seen an EL.
I've owned all the others but smoked before the collecting bug bit :(

Hey Whisk!
I don't have one of the 2006 piramides :(
Are the MC robsutos the 2006 or the 2000 version? The 2000 version won't have the year written on the EL band.
If you ever fancy a wee swap around, let me know

Nope, and I doubt whether I will now. Even if you could locate them I'd hate to think of the price now.

I think they must be the 2006 ones.Again they have not been opened so I haven`t looked at the bands Stevieboy.
The piramides are still in the outer protective cardboard wrapper and have not been opened.I will open them up when i get back home in a couple of weeks and photograph them, just to tease you, you understand!

I had a box of the 2001 Piramides but never got with them at all and ended up selling most of the box..I've still got 4 left. I tried one a few months ago and still not too hot...guess they'll rest for a few more months :cowboyic9:

Only an A-hole would would post a photograph of something you have your heart set on to complete your collection............so without further ado, here are the Cohiba Piramide EL 2006 Stevieboy, as promised, all ten of them in their splendid little presentation box.
Seriously though Stevieboy, I have no idea what these things will smoke like, however the aroma from the box when it was first opened was fantastic.Really rich spicy, woody, cocoa, chocolate, creamy, vanilla....you get the picture.
If I smoke one of these then I know for a fact that they will all be doomed in a relatively short period of time.:smoke:
If you are interested then PM me ASAP, before my curiosity gets the better of me.
PS.The other EL box in the corner of the photograph is the MC Robusto EL 2006 (talk about rubbing salt in the wound!).

Before you change your shirt Robusto! got some new Lusis in (pride of place in my photo album cover), bit young at 2008, so they are going for a rest at the darkest corner of the humidor for at least 18 long months, or maybe 15 months, then again a year is a long time.....:smoke:

I don't know how some of you guys manage to hold on to such beautiful sticks in your humis for so long.
To be completely honest, it would be the same as saying "I must not have sex" repeatedly. That's pretty demanding lol!
I'm into my cigars very seriously currently to the extent of thinking about them in bed when I hit the pillow at the moment. Just the glory of it all.
In this "state" (which I'm hyping up somewhat), I think I'd be destroying one master cigar after another.
I smoke more cigars in the school holidays so I'm on the starting block for a mini-binge, as it were.
I'd need to be handcuffed to a radiator to leave those porn pic beauts alone!

Self control Robusto, self control!:biggrin1:
I know where you are coming from, but the long term appreciation is what should be important.
I could easily smoke the Lusis over the next four weeks and I know for a fact I would really enjoy them. However I also know if I tuck them away and forget about them for a year and a half then they will be substantially improved.
As long as I have a varied selection of cigars in the meantime, then there should be no reason to go near them.
Don`t get me wrong, it dosen`t always work out as intended, but the majority of the time if you can stick them at the back of the humidor and semi forget about them then it seems to work.

That's exactly why I've bought a decent size humi, Whisk. To try to approach this joy proactively (lmfao!) rather than to smoke down to zero every few months.
I know the other is better when deferred, so this can be, too.
I'll keep watching the post. :cowboyic9:

Stevieboy - It's leaf pervedom!
I've been running in a showbiz Cornetto whirl for three days, and my wife and kids have been home-based but at all points of the compass.
I found myself in bed - with my wife already asleep - thinking about the tastes and smells of cigars.
I was flying in bed - so bizarre - to the thought of the various cigars I'd had over the last few days.
I had a wonderful time! :biggrin1::biggrin1::biggrin1::biggrin1::biggrin1:

Proactive rather than reactive, thats the way( I can see we have both had to listen to the same bo**ocks:eek: at some point).

Proactive is bollocks central is it not, my friend?...
Currently irritating the log out of me in every meeting is the use of 'scope' as a verb.
If we just scope this situation for a moment...
Had to sit through a management-delivery-moment with this used SIX times in twenty minutes on Friday.
Some of us gay undermining ones near the back made a little tally-bar thing on our jotters to help us concentrate.

Scope was a recent favourite, however the latest is silent running, this is in reference to HSE relative safety stats and equates to organisations performing as per submarines at sea and still being on the radar, but not causing any concern due to achievable safety performance.
I often listen to some of these people at meetings and imagine myself bitch slapping them, or giving them a real big wedgy.I don`t know which planet they are derived from, but it ain`t the same MFer that I`m on.

I couldn't agree more!
Particularly noticeable when a newby manager arrives with all the gay phraseology. SCOPE isn't brand new, but it just clubs your cheeks every time somebody comes out with it at a meeting without winking as an aside.
Bitch slapping could be the future lol.
