View Full Version : That Cigar Smell

On Thursday I finished a great Bolivar in my car on a drive back from London.

The Lady Wife borrowed my car yesterday and remarked on the "smell of cigars" but that "at least it's better than the smell of another woman's perfume".

I just avoided saying that the smell of cigars was ideal for covering up the smell of another womans perfume.:41::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleye s::rolleyes:

Great cover up, all that remains to do then is delete any incriminating messages on the mobile, remove loose hair from the seats and clothing, act normal ( they have a seventh sense in knowing somethings different), and Remember to use the right name!...

My entire house is rich with the odour of fine cuban leaf.... this means that the myriad women who frequent my house stink too....

Obviously by myriad I mean the main squeeze and handful of female friends!

I must say, I hate the lingering smell! I keep it to my spare room and waft it out of the window asap!

So which is worse the smell of stale cigars or the smell of stale women?:confused:

En France, on dit le cigare froid.

"Ca sent le cigare froid - dans la voiture / dans l'ascenseur / dans ton lit".

Moi, je n'aime pas les femmes froides.

Bordeaux is where I first smoked a cigar in bed.

I think the aroma of a great cigar - when you walk into a room somewhere and somebody's on the toke - can be as erotic as a woman's natural scent.

I think the cling of dead, dull ex-cigars in a room or in a car is far worse than the smell of any woman. (Although some dead cigars smell beautifully sweet the morning after).

To me, certain unlit Havanas have the smell of beautiful women's armpits (natural, not de-odorised). I have always sensed a link between good cigars and women, and my very coy modesty prevents me from making further comparisons.

But I think there are lower ones. I really do.
And I'm sure that's one of the reasons I'm hooked on cigars.

None. I'm obviously just a woman myself, regarding stale cigar smells!

My friend uses one of those electric air ioniser/purifiers and he swears by it.

Apparently it will clear a room of any stale cigar or cigarette odours overnight. He has been using it for years.

I have a Czonka one Whisk and it works brilliantly. There's only a slight lingering smell the next morning then all gone by tea-time....just in time to spark up another :)

I'll have to look into getting one of those, I get frequent complaints about the stale aroma in the kitchen of a morning.

If you're comparing the smell of a lit cigar to a woman, surely to keep things fair when you are comparing the smell of a dead cigar it should be with a dead woman! Now i'm no lorry driver, so haven't had the dubious privilege of acquaintance with the fairer sex post mortem, but I'm willing to put money on the fact that a dead woman, given a little time, would smell worse than a dead cigar!

Could be assessed from the docks at Felixstowe to the environs of Kettering, perhaps.

Passenger window slightly ajar.
Bit of Iron Maiden on Xplod.

I have just returned to my Cybershed/smokeshack for the first time since smoking a wonderful Trinidad Reyes last week and what a great smell greeted me.

I have heard it said that the sense of smell conjures up memories because of the way the brain is 'wired'.

The smell here is redolent of my uncles house about 35 years ago and many happy days.

More pleasures from the cigar world.:41::41::41:
