I would love members to suggest strong cigars to try.
My preferences - in general terms - are Partagas, Bolivar, Ramon Allones, Montecristo.
Are there any makes, or any individual sticks, that you would advise me to try?
I'm very happy in the territories above, but want to branch out a bit over time.
Cheers.

I'm don't know a whole lot about Cuban cigars, but I do know of a few Non-Cubans that have a "kick".
La Flor Dominicana Double Ligero Chisel (Natural or Maduro)
La Flor Dominicana Cheroot AKA The "IcePick" (100% Ligero)
Camacho Triple Maduro

Thank you, matt.
I don't know a lot about NCs so I'll refer back to this.

Had a Punch Super Selection No. 2 Saturday night, which had a kick which was very surprising, I'm not sure if they are still available, this one was from 2000/2001 or older, but if you can get one give it a try, I only had one which was a gift some years ago, would have be better aged further. :smoke:

Another you can try is Bolivar gold medals which are on offer at Puro €54 for 10, have not had one for a long while, but I remember them being very punchy.... ummm might get a box for ageing.

I dont like to keep going on about them, I will anyway. But the Acid Red "Nasty" or "Nefasto" is a 3 course meal plus a cheese board. These bad boys will make your eyes water but in a way that makes you smile and come back for more straight away.
This wont just give you a kick it will back hoof you over like a Donkey on Blackpool beach driven mad by Syphillis and the wind.

I sent a Acid Red KMV up to Cohiba a while back, I'm hoping he can give us his verdict.

I have a few of them in my 'dor but their fearsome reputation has put me off smoking one :(. I'll have one this weekend then report back

Keep it up, boys!
I'll do a Dale's Raffle and lob all suggestions into my top post when I have time.
I'm very tempted by your recommendation, Boss.
The website is pretty hip and sexy.
I'll rub up against all the others over time, too.

The last cigar I tried which I thought was reasonably strong was a Don Pepin Garcia Cuban Classic - Robusto size!

One of the strongest Cubans I have smoked is the Cohiba Double Corona LE03, an absolute powerhouse. Had to leave it half way through and then come back to it...!!!
Cheers, HabanoSy
I've found the Cuaba Solomones to have a mighty kick, But be prepared it can take a couple of hrs to smoke this goliath of a puro, however I find that its an enjoyable experiance.

No idea what branch / country it was, but I had a CAO robusto and it almost put me to sleep. I was so light headed it was unreal. No idea , maybe I didn't have much to eat or something, but I've never had one so heady since.
A realy fullbodied smoke for me was a Bolivar Bonitas, for a smaller size, it packed a big, but manageble and complex punch that i'd love to try again.

Strongest Cuban I've ever had was a H.Upmann Mag 50 LE... Turned me green! However this may change, as i am awaiting for some RA Celestiales Finos, which are supposed to be absolute rockets!
Strongest cigar in general was non cuban, a Padron #9 1926. Way too strong, so strong that my numbed taste buds could not taste anything!

BOLIVAR ROYAL CORONA
Just had my second out of the box and am mightily relieved, after the disappointing first I smoked, that this one was up to the best Bolivar SMACK standard I love from the make.
Just back from walking my dog on a very windy and rainy night. Quite a bit of back-kick in the wind out there tonight but that just heightened the pleasure. I'm sitting here replete, relaxed and completely warmed up all over with a hot peppery taste in my mouth.
A happy man indeed. :cowboyic9:

Yeah they do have a bit of a kick. I had one a couple of weeks back that put me on my arse. A not so gentle reminder that cigars aren't just about the taste...

I can recommend LFD Double Ligero, Joya De Nicaragua Antano 1970, Oliva V as far as NC go. The LFD DL Chisel will fu*k you up if you smoke it on an empty stomach.
