One Year Celebrations

Well, believe it or not, we've only been going a year.

A year on 1st July. Dead on 1st July - that's when I had it up and running last year. First post at 19:47 1st July 2008.

So thank you! We've one from strength to strength and I believe we now have a brilliant core of regulars which make's the site a joy to visit from day to day.

But what should we organise for the year?! Maybe a big cigar walk on the 4th July - one that turns into an all nighter?! I'm up for it... :rock:

I love this site.

I love it for what it is.
Knowledge. Laughs. Shared experiences WELL beyond cigars.

I love the fact that this is a BUSY site, and not some struggling backwater.

I love the fact that several of us have met. That we got on. That we get on. That we laugh.

We have herfed.

Not all proposed herfs can happen for all sorts of reasons, but many of us did it! And a number of us have met up with close-by buds, and buds when we're on our travels. Since smoking cigars collectively, or with a like-minded mate, is such an uplifting thing, this is really great. And it says balls to restrictions in pubs and clubs in its own way. It is a pleasure to smoke together.

I love the fact that this site has made me enjoy smoking cigars much much more.

I love the fact that I am a far more confident cigar smoker. I once was a secretive, guilty, denying cigar smoker. Now I'm OUT and proud.

I love herfing.
I love male banter.

I love women.
But I love male banter.

Jackass with cigars but avoiding arms in plaster casts, if you wish.

I've even made a cigar-toting friend 'in the flesh' who lives just down the road.

IT'S ALL GOOD!

And all of this is because of YOU, Deano.
Well done for setting the site up.
And I think it will grow and grow.

You even got a mad Mexican to cross the po... the Atlantic!

Count me in for a meeting herf sleepover... whatever it becomes.

The only thing that will keep me away will be a booking in the spotlights of local showbiz.

Thanks Deano, I have made new friends all over the world through Cigars and many of them via this forum.

I've briefly met some of the guys on walks and I am looking forward to spending many more happy hours chatting and herfing with the boys and girls here.

Great idea for an annual birthday bash early July, - discuss more next Tuesday.

I'm not really the forum type, only ever signed up to one other forum but there is something very inviting about this one here, and i'm sure it's to do with the guys on here.
