We are holding a Cigar and Rum tasting evening on Monday 20th July in the Courtyard of the Bluebird restaurant, 350 Kings Road, London.
The Partagas Serie P No.2 Will be presented by H&F's Simon Chase, and four different types of rum will be on offer.

We held a similar evening there last year which went down very well, I hope some of you are able to attend :smile:

Looks like that will be a great little event SDavies.
Does not get much better than a fat partagas and some rum to wash it down with.

Gonna go myself. Anyone else up for it? Bluebird is a great venue. Been there a hundred times more than any other place in London.

Me, CohibaIV and Panto all booked in. I think Rennie is coming with someone else too.
They've increased the rum's from 3 to 5 and I hear that more suppliers are trying to get in on the act. So allll good.

just had a look on street view and it seems there arent many pubs or bars right near the place to meet at so prob best we just all meet at the bluebird bar... Im going to get there for 5.30 at the latest prob before that see you boys there

Well, last train to Crewe is at 1000pm so I thought feck it...Whats the point going all the way home and missing half the night at that time. :der:
At least I will get a lay in, in the morning before going to work...:biggrin1:

Urgh. 5 different rums to taste, plus a Mojito on entry, plus Dale (CohibaIV) making me drink even more rum. Head aches.

Well, a great night, a real pleasure to meet you guys, 5 different rums followed by a few pints of real ale ! Hope you enjoyed your lay in Dale.
I made the last train, though there were no taxi's to take me the 10 mile journey home...wangled a lift in a Bentley Continental to my door, not a problem for someone who can get a free hand rolled Cuban !

Evil, the woman in charge of the event did say they were looking at doing similar events with different drinks and cigars so Im sure there will be another chance :smoke:
