Have had a lot of hassle with them about my Broadband connection and my BT Vision service. Have spent hours on the phone to engineers and accounts.

The hassle arose from a malfunctioning white hub.

It's over.

I can get REPLAY services again, so can show my crew Trevor McDonald on a phat cigar smoke.

I'm going back to my bronze package (darling) because if I go Pay Per View, Trevor with a phat one costs 98p.

Rip off!!!

This unplugging and plugging and re-starting and going up and down stairs has made me fed up. All with a phone to my ear.

I'm just back from popping into town where a singer I know a bit was trying to raise money by busking for Oxfam... only her guitarist hadn't turned up.

So she was singing - through PA - with an acoustic bass amplified.

It was lovely - but I offered to get my keyboard and stuff from home and busk through some jazzy stuff. This was outside a betting office and Superdrug.

I love busking just like that and I've just had the best of times after the Broadband.

Sio I shall walk round the corner for sweet and sour King Prawn balls and spicy chips.

And as the house is mine tonight, I shall stretch out like a lardarse and burst a strong stick into life.

Not smoked for two days.
Ready to go. :cowboyic9:

Duncan - If you read this, you can babble on about anything on here.
Even onanism. I do that for hours, mate.

It's bloody classy, my life cuisine! LMFAO

I only go in the Chinese to catch up on the latest Wacko Jacko stories in the press.

I'm afraid when my missus is out, I don't cook.

I'm not sexist or anything.

It's because I'm usually knackered after a day of youth counselling and consider potato peeling a violation in that state of mind.

I'm serious.

i suppose now is not the time to say i work for the buggers that are BT or to be factual Openreach...:embarassed:..and i work in an exchange that does the broadband wiring....but can't help you with the white hub malarky as yes they are crap but as for the unplugging it ,yes it does resynch the unit but can also feck the speed right up. its best to unplug and leave for a few minutes to allow whats called rambo to give you what it thinks are the best possible speed your line will support. however it can be alittle unstable for a while after this if rambo then decides the speed is creating too many erros and it will adjust the speed again...

with vision, you tend to need a minimum speed of 2meg for it to be anywhere near stable, you caan type the router info in the address bar on internet explorer as 198.162.1.254 for the hub to see your lines speed and variuos other info..hope this helps

Thanks Sky.

I know - just like online cigar vendors - that the same Broadband company elicits praise from some and venom from others.

It's the same with musicians and PA systems. You don't know who to trust if you take all opinions into account.

I am an impatient sod, especially when overworked.

On the other side of the coin, I am ecstatic when things go right.

To be frank, the white BT hub IS a piece of shit.

When I used a Linksys router, THAT was a piece of shit, too!

I'm just going to pray the Broadband and the BT Vision keep working, and that the power doesn't drift away.

I prefer BT Vision over Sky any day!
