View Full Version : Stick a Stick in .. Round 2
Pantomimehorse
13-07-2009, 02:05 PM
Ok we did this before and it worked very well, a few of us arent able to do Stevies Box swap so this is a bit more small scale here are the rules from last time:
we each select a stick from our humidor, any stick lets not piss about with values etc we are all gents and I trust none of you will stick a hamlet in the mix... then I will randomly assign you a forum member you send the stick to... could be fun and a way to try something new?
if your in reply to this thread,
SO Far the following are signed up in the swap :

As a relative noob here i was not just sticked but veritably bombed by the star that is JPMOORE..:hail:
All the sticks he sent me are new to me and will give me a chance to try something different and to form my judgements against different brands.
so can we have a big up for JP :first::congrats::cheer2:
as for the sticks if i'm correct they would be a HdM , punch and and SLR churchills, a HdM black knight 2 and a RP vintage 1990 sixty
as a noob i could be wrong and i'm willing to be publicly flogged on this here forum if this proves so.http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2581/3797900119_77ae0d074c.jpg

well i just been and had a lovely fish and chips by the seaside and afterwards had the punch churchill for desert:smoke:
started off with a slight spice and nutmeg flavour before settling down for a nice relaxing smoke whilst watching the kids learn to canoe in the bay. Was a nice mild evening so the roof was down on the old mx5 and finished the cigar off whilst driving home, to which the cedar spicy kicked in during the latter half and well and truly cleared my sinuses. Had quite a cigar buzz for a long while after and i'm now well and truly chilled out. cheers JP.

06-09-2009, 11:45 AM
that padron was one of the best cigars ive had, NC or CC. I cant really think of a cuban that has a similar taste profile? possibly the JL 2s (I get strong taste of tea from them too)
really beautiful taste of tea throughout. Didn't get at all harsh until the last inch.
10/10 burn, didnt need correcting once. really solid cigar but had great draw and didn't feel overpacked.
The taste was never bitter, you could take a slow light draw and the flavour would be different to taking a strong draw.
Had it on an empty stomach and the last of the cigar had my head spinning
will write a proper review of these when i can get my hand on a few more. :smoke:
are these hard to get boxes of now?
ps havent yet got that V cutter, getting payed in a few weeks so will invest in one then
