That's a good question and the subject of much debate amoung the moderators. Could you hold off for a day before posting to allow the moderators a chance to discuss how to handle.
The intent of this forum is to freely and openly express our opinions, both good and bad, when it comes to vendors or any other subject, but not to unjustifiably slander someones business in a vendictive or "knee jerk" manner.
Hold that thought mate?
Mods, anyone want to weigh in on this in the cellar?

no problem, thats why I posed the question before posting away. I know that whats published is ultimately the responsibility of the owner of the site and they can get in trouble for whats published hence checking before posting.

Ah free speech is absolutely what we want. It's just my ass being sued and the forums being taken down that we don't want! I think we'll come to a reasonable conclusion.

Surely the best way for a retailer to avoid criticism is to provide good service in the first place.
Something for them to think about perhaps...
Unfortunately, we don't live in an ideal world, so making sure that you and the site are covered is fully understandable, Deano.

In all honesty Deano, you have to be carefull of slander and all that, so its best to PM bad publicity or spaek in code.

i would agree with the pm option, atleast then as individuals we can errr on the side of caution..we see many plaudits in the where to buy section with people posting their new arrivals but we don't get to here the horror story's. With some purchases entering the hundreds of pounds category for some users , it would be nice if we could atleast reduce the risk of loss..i for one have an order waiting to be processed with an over the pond supplier, fingers crossed its not the one being mentioned here.
