I've always preffered boxes, you can see 'em all lined up and smell them all in a row at once.
However, I've bought a lot of cabs recently, and seeing that lovely ribbon and how the bunch is laid out....I'm undecided which I now prefer. In fact I don't think I any longer have a preference. Both are wicked.

Cabinet cigars generally taste better, something about them being tucked in tighter iirc :849:

You can get squished cigars in some boxes too I suppose.

Love them both, so long as the Cigars in them have been stored properly.... When you open any of them up for the first time though Ahhhhh

I'd have to say box,
if you say to the average joe "I've just bought a cab of cigars" they would probably shrug their shoulders and say "whats that? " you've lost that flash factor straight away.
If you say "I've just bought a box of cigars" they identify it easier as something a bit exclusive and the flash factor has increased.

When the Cuban blends were different for cabs and boxes, cabs were definitely the way to go. Not true so much anymore it seems. Know a lot of people who don't like box-pressed cigars, never bothered me though :41:

Box. I always enjoy smokes that are box pressed a little more than not. I think I was spoiled by Padron. :41:

Now I have a little idea of the amount of dosh a box costs (Cuban) but a Cabinet? This sounds like serious money to me. Can you guys give me some example prices?

Depending on what size obviously, but a popular cab size has 50 sticks in it Al. You'll pay a tad under twice the price as a rule, but there are occassionally very good deals out there.
I haven't posted up on this one, although voted.
I like the priddy boxes, with their priddy pictewers:cowboyic9:
