Seems like a lot of the Brothers out there have a copy of this phenomenal tome. I also wanted to make that sure those who don't know about the 'bible' are in the loop. It's a masterpiece but is now getting a wee bit out-dated. Well worth hunting down second-hand on ABE or eBay

Also, for a bit of fun, I wanted to see how many of you lads actually have it. I'll be honest, the so-called joke answer is what prompted the poll ...sorry:rolleyes:

I got the the ex shop copy from Whiskey and cigars and managed to get another for the step dads birthday from the Exeter shop. Great read with a lot of backround info which is essential for a newbie smoker like me.

Got One!

I bought the heavy-weight book at one of the shops during the fabulous London Habana Cigar Walk.

A special thanks the senor :rock:Cohiba IV who offered and, in fact, lugged this monster of a manual around in his back pack for me. :shakehands:

He also stayed to the bitter end of the evening when all the other :creep:walkers had gone home to their "momies!" :whip:

After speaking with Stevieboy about this great book, I managed to sort one out for myself. But I do have access to other copies (brand new, still in cellophane) for £70 + P&P (not sure what this would be as it is quite a big/heavy book).

PM me or reply to this thread if anyone is interested and I'll see what I can do...?

Cheers, HabanoSy

Yes thats a good price, I was lucky enough to get one retail a couple of years back at £79.99 plus post. this is certainly the book to have, I have seen them on ebay for a premium, when this second print run has sold out they will be very hard to find again!..... recommended (IMHO):smoke:

Right...

Like I said previously I have managed to get hold of 'Brand New in Cellophane' a few copies of this book - 'THE' Cigar Bible...

http://www.ukcigarforums.com/picture.php?albumid=73&pictureid=946

Now...

Who wants a copy...?

They are £70 each + P&P (I will have to find this out from the post office as this book/bible is heavy).

PM me if you are interested and I will find out postage costs...

This book gets more expensive every year. I bought a copy from CGars 3 or 4 years ago for £50, they've got it for £89 now. As it gets rarer it gets pricier...

Wonder what happened to the revised (new information, EL's, ER's, etc) edition that was rumoured a few years ago.

£70 is a good price for a serious bit of coffee table coolness (people find it a fascinating book to flick through, my Dad spent a weekend with his nose in it when he visited us).

It seriously is a cool book, and like you say spacemonkey it will fit in to any smoking lounge and lift any coffee table to greatness...

Are you reading Cohiba Fan...!?!?!

Got mine couple of years ago in London for less than £50 (brand new); great book to have.

For ALL latest and complete info I go to Trevor's INCREDIBLE resource:

http://www.cubancigarwebsite.com/

This is amazingly useful and, given that Min Ron Nee is somewhat out of date, it's like an ever-evolving version of the book.

In fact, I know that the site got much of the info and pics by permission from Min Ron Nee.

By the way, I'm in no way connected to the site!

Re the book, it's an awesome resource too, but too xxy in the £ department for me sadly.

According to MRN himself, on a US based board, this should be a huge, expensive book, and this might be a very limited edition, hard to obtain for the average aficionado…

Get a copy of the 1st edition while you can!

With MRNs almost-obsession with aged/aging cigars I can't see that he would want to put his name to a new version to cover the past 7/8 years of EL's and ER's and new releases. He would be reviewing a lot of cigars that for most are already unobtainable.

Review websites, forums and blogs have come along way since the last release. I say get hold of the current book asap, my copy is well used and appreciated by non-smokers who spot it on the book shelf.

Me too!! Bought it as soon as it came out.

I'm an obsessive book collector anyway so I wouldn't think twice about shelling out big-time for a copy of volume 2.....that's if it's available to mere mortals and isn't just released in a limited run of a few hundred copies........

I don't see why it would have to be released on a limited run..?

Would be a shame if the people who got and enjoyed the first volume have to miss out just to do a big bucks (but don't make my money back (after reading Nino's website) ) book....!

He had success with the first and got a lot of respect.

I hope he does not do the limited few hundred run...
