It's ok. Personally I'd stick to Firefox or Chrome (Google's browser).
I like Chrome but until some of my fav plugins are supported (e.g. Xmarks and Firebug), I can't really get on with it.
Safari is just a bit 'meh'.

I discovered there's an Apple shop in Canterbury - my closest good shopping town - when I was there yesterday.
Lordee I want to get a Mac soon!
It's not called an Apple shop but it's a concession of some sort. I can get a good discount off their stuff as a teacher.
I was thrilled as the closest Apple stores are in Bluewater and Kingston for me.

I would love a Mac, but no way paying the prices when you can get a decent laptop for 1/4 of the price....
I LOVE MY DELL:biggrin1:

'Meh' is kind internet slang , meaning 'mediocre' or 'not really bothered' I suppose.
Off the net: MEH is "Indifference, equivalent to shoulder shrug"

All horses for Courses IMO. Safari and Chrome (+ Opera) are great browsers and see to be making huge strides in the way we browse and how the web should work but for most day to day normal users this doesn't make much difference.
IMO, go for it, install Safari on your Laptop and give it a shot. You have nothing to lose. You're not going to lose much from the other popular browsers if you did use Safari as your day to day browser.
Off tangent time:
For me, I use Firefox as my Primary browser. Firefox does everything I need, but its the plug-in facility that currently keeps this browser top of the roost. Twitterfox and a load of other geek stuff (Nagios Checker, Firebug (haha Deano ) keeps me using the browser.
In my job I'm usually switching from browser to browser a lot so I see how things develop. But I think I'll stop there :-)

I didn't know that, Andy. Thank you.
It's a purchase waiting to be made down the line...

The discount also applies to the refurbished section. Bought an imac and laptop through there and have never had a single issue with either in over 2 years. Great quality. :mullet:
