Really want one of these, thought id ask on here first before scrawling the web to import some. Anyone got one they'd be willing to sell, id love to try out the experience.

I know it's a bit of a schlep but JJ Fox in St James's street stock them and some of the biys here went to the nub launch event and may have one or two but if they are anything like me they will have smoked them (and enjoyed them).
I liked the Habano.
If you get into them it might be worth getting one of our American chums to source them for you.

I've tried all the Nubs. Good cigars. However...
I just don't buy the stuff they're hyping. In theory, they've taken the best part of the cigar, fattened it up, and cut off the nasty bits, leaving you with only the "sweet spot" to smoke.
In truth, what they've done is made some really nice cigars, then shortchanged you by only giving you half a smoke. The fatitude of these stocky stogies assures that you still get an hour or more smoking experience since they burn so slowly (and, btw, they really do have a wonderful ash). But I'd rather they were at least twice as long, since you really have to finish the damn things off with a toothpick, otherwise you're wasting a great deal of eminently smokable leaf at the end.
To me, the Nub is more exceptional advertising than smoking.
migh too sense...

I think there are times when you just need a short smoke and when quality is important. Getting a short fat one is sometimes better than the smaller cigars which tend to fill the 25 - 30 minute slot.
I suspect that Nub's make more sense in the US where the pricing is a bit more sensible so you can knock off a short one real quick.
I am not sure about the hype bit either. Some of us were lucky enough to meet Sam the man who invented the brand at JJ Fox during the UK launch. He is a very cool young man and very serious about his cigars. He is a bit like a cigar rock star (or would like to be) and I hope there is room for everyone in this wonderful world we call Cigars!!
Here endeth the sermon today...

But there's the rub (of the Nub [as it were])! It's not a short smoke! It's only short. The fat bastard still takes an hour or more.
