The Black Pearl Morado Torpedo is #16 on CA's Top 25. I smoked the robusto version and am not too macho to admit it was as strong as I'd want to go. This Nicaraguan is full-bodied and not for beginners.

Flavor: It started off with pepper, then softened a bit to earthy leather, strong black coffee, and hints of spice. As good as that might sound, it just didn't come together for me. It wasn't terrible, but I was waiting for something to emerge that unfortunately didn't. Maybe the torpedo strikes a better balance. The finish was strong, but not objectionable.

Burn: I had to relight it twice. The burn was a little uneven, and the ash was pretty loose. I guess I'd call it an average burn.

Smoke: Moderate amount, average aroma.

I didn't think it was worth the price, but I'm more used to medium-bodied cigars. Somebody who is into stronger cigars might get more out of it.

Great honest review Lou. Thoght about trying this smoke and for reasons of $ passed a few times. There are much better sticks in the Black Pearl Morado Robustos price range. Thaks for the heads up!
