Herf at Hotel Du Vin, Tunbridge Wells

Hi all,

When I introduced myself on here at least two users said they would like an informal smoke in the very cigar friendly Hotel du Vin in Tunbridge Wells. Well should we arrange it? A mini one before the big one in September me thinks?

I would normally jump at this even though it would be at least a 90 minute drive from Deal but I'm booked up before going back to work.

Have fun if any of you do it, chaps - presumably Deano, Stogiedog and yourself - but I can't make it at present.

The Hotel du Vin is definitely on my list of places to visit down the line.

I think now would be a good time to sart thinking about when we can all get together for a mini herf at the HdVTW? I am quite eager for this to happen, as Trev is im sure. If i propose a couple of dates and we go from there?

My hat stays on. I never leave home without it in my downtime.

It makes me feel cool. You'll just have to put up with it.

If I take it off I go into anaphylactic spasms. Not good in a la casa.


I would love to meet up at the Hotel du Vin but won't be able to do this until I've taken the family off to Cuba in late October/early November.

I'm having to keep my wallet snapped shut at present.

I reckon I'll join you there in the New Year.

yea - it is a hotel... lol. I dont live in the area - i live about a 40 minute drive away. Close enough to make it to often - but not close enough that i could recommend anywhere.

With regards to cost Brian - bring a couple of smokes and drink tap water ;-) (For if you do consider that - they are quite happy for you to take your own smokes - Big_T and I have spent hours in there chatting with only a couple of cokes...)

I shall be working that weekend, and as we get closer to Xmas my work load is going to get stupid for the week ends, but if I do get a free one I shall be sure to try to visit HTduV TWell
