:41:Gentlemen (and :nerd: ladies),

Back in February, the Lion of the Forum, Senor :cowboyic9:Robusto, started a thread on cigar cutters (click here (http://www.ukcigarforums.com/showthread.php?t=679&highlight=xikar+cutter)) It was through this thread that I discoverd the inexpensive Cuban Crafter Guillotine Cutter.

Today, I use this cutter more than any other puro-pokin' device, even my trusty ol' punch, which I am addicted to.

:hmmmm: Now if memory serves me well, several other posters to that thread purchased the CC cutter as well. So after several months of use, how is it working for you? :dontknow:

For my $$$$, it is one of the best value cutters around :top:

:boink:Thoughts! Comments! :41:

Thanks for reading my post.:yo:

Names :bandit: TJ, TJCoro, and :doh:I just cut the tip off my p:censored:is with my most excellent Cuban Crafter Guillotine Cutter :vollkommenauf:

I have yet to try this cutter though I have seen many like it and it's a good concept. I stick to my trusty Xikar xi3 carbon fibre. Does the job- lifetime warranty. :-D

Yeah....the Xikbar xi3 is a great cutter! No doubt about it, lil' Jimmy. I have one in my collection and still use if from time to time.

:nerd: But I gotta' tell ya' mate, for only $12, the CC Cutter is a real beauty, with a nice solid and hefty feel to it. A solid performer, IMO, and pound for pound, the value around. :top:

can you post a link to the cutters that you're talking about TJ? I'm needing a new one and if it's good enough for the mexican it just might serve my needs.

TJ, how sharp is this one? I'm thinking about getting a Xikar after a mate let me used his, it was amazing to say the least. If this is comparable for half the price, I don't see why I wouldn't buy it. Tell me what you think. Thanks

:nerd: Well, senor reigndrip, my Xikar was about $30 and I think the CC cutter is comparable, in terms of sharpness, and easier to use. Feels good in the hand. :p

The Xikar is a bit:cool: cooler looking, however. Both have lifetime warranties.

Your choice, mate. But if you go for the Xidar, I suggest you get the more expensive one (around $50 or $60); it works much better and looks better, IMO.:41:

Personally, I prefer scissor cutters, but does anyone know of a scissor cutter big enough to snip of the head of a Yanqui "Sixty?"

Figures! :der:

Just kiddin' lad celsis, just kiddin' (:nono: careful, TJ)

:nerd: I bought a pair of scissor-cutters in Las Vegas after a big win at the craps table, but have since relegated 'em to my ever-growing collection of classic cutters.:willy:

I have been using a Xikar for 3 years. Just recently, i bought a
Palio and i stop using the Xikar. I feel that the Palio cuts a better cleaner cut.

I just purchased the "cigar stand" that everybody is going GaGA :dancing2:over from a vendor that featured the Palio. Wish I had seen this post sooner, senor BJ, so I could have taken a closer look at this bad boy. :(

Next time. :dontknow:

Senor TJ,

The latest issue of C.A. has a small article and pictures that
talks about the Palio cutter. :41:

For my smaller/thinner smokes I use the Colibri 'punch' and for my larger/thicker smokes I use the Solingen 'purdey' V cutter, very nice it is too...!!!

Cheers, HabanoSy

At the moment I have a bunch of cheapo cutters and a nice pair of goldie Davidoff Scissors (which are amazing but more for aesthetic purposes).

I'm looking for a good reliable cutter, so was pleased when the mexican started this thread. I was going to go for a xikar but on my search for cheapness I found the xeto (which is around the same price of the xikar that I'm looking at.

Anyone came across the xeto cutter?
Looks pretty snazzy

http://www.mysmokingshop.co.uk/index2.php?mod=category&man=319&cat=95

Also came across a Hugo boss version of it at over £200! It's exactly the same as the others only with "Hugo boss" laser etched onto it!

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/NEW-HUGO-BOSS-SELECTION-DESIGN-CIGAR-CUTTER-GUILLOTINE_W0QQitemZ370178961502QQcmdZViewItemQQpt ZUK_Collectables_Tobacciana_Smoking_LE?hash=item56 3062b05e&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14

Anyone got one?

I'm thinking between a xikar and this. Xikar is tried and tested but do I go for the xeto just to be different?

Senor :kev: Kdot, although I have no experience with either of these cutters, both are quite beautiful:p and would enhance any puro collection. Especially if the blades are a sharp as their looks, which no doubt, they are. So if money is not a consideration and prestige is...go for it! I certainly would. :top:

:nerd: But for my dinero, you can't beat the Cuban Crafter Cutter, which I discoverd on this fine forum. It never disappoints! So, when I elect to cut my puro (rather than punch) :hmmmm:, I always turn to my trusty CC cutter. :41:

Names :bandit: TJ, TJCoro, and apparently I'm in the tank for the Cuban Crafter Guillotine Cutter:vollkommenauf:

Kdot, I'll be interested to hear if they are any good if you get one. The way the blades meet looks like it would give a decent cut. I could have sworn these were way more expensive a few months ago!

I'm currently using a Palio which is satisfactory. Good design, but I need to give it a clean as the blades are a little sticky and catching slightly when I cut.

I have a cheap double bladed cutter that i bought from a seller on Amazon of all places.
It was £12, and gives me the perfect cut every time, very sharp. Better still, its very thin, and lives in one of the credit card slots of my wallet, so its very convenient, and means if i'm out and about, i never forget it :)
