Just thought I'd help U out MBOTL! Now suppose we have some Blots from across the pond? Will they be allowed ? I for 1 say let them in cause not all are FOGS (older BOTL with access to CC!)This is how I got to savor Castros Crop and make connections with friends.

GSS, to clarify that was always agreed that all non-US forum members must send a Cuban, we all respect its not easy for our US brothers to do that so thats cool that you dont if you cant.

I didn't know we couldn't send NCs?
I dropped $30 on an 80th anniversary Padron for the last round, which I thought was comparable to the Punch D'oro I received. I guess I'm out this round then. Sorry lascaux.
Pantomimehorse
30-08-2009, 05:41 PM
Larry I actually dont mind what Im sent CC or NC , but some do....
we agreed that US members could send NC's as you dont have free acceess to Cubans so if any members dont want to swap with a US forum member please pm me as I dont think its fair to ask them to do Cubans.
larrysputnik
30-08-2009, 05:43 PM
I just think that it should be comparable in price. NC or CC, shouldn't matter. Especially since many NCs are more expensive than many CCs.
Pantomimehorse
30-08-2009, 05:50 PM
yeah I agree to a point but think the more rules you get into the less fun it makes things, I dont think anyone has been disapointed thus far with this swap and most get more than one stick so im happy to keep things the way they are unless there is a strong feeling from members that there is a need for change>?

so are you guys moaning your being sent too many sticks? WTF? the idea is you get sent at least one but there's no pressure to send more than one ?
Big_T_UK
08-10-2009, 12:13 PM
There is a ton of pressure! I was about to send your parcel off last Friday when all the reports started rolling in. The LISTS of cigars people reported does certainly put pressure on, to be a good chap, etc. I still have not sent it as I need to put more in. I stopped reading this thread long ago, when it was stick a STICK in. I am happy to be part of this but a combination of bad timing and taking the title too literally may have been my mistake. Now it is stick half a collection in! I am all for this, but I am unemployed, so struggling. I in no way want to appear mean so I once again find myself at Teddington today looking for things for the parcel. Sorry for the delay. Do not get excited, it will be the best I can do.

From my point of view I chose to send out 3 sticks, my expectation is to receive one stick.... anything more than that is a bonus, people do what they can do.
Giulio
08-10-2009, 12:34 PM
I get lots of pleasure knowing I made a fellow BOTL happy and I don't really mind what I get back TBH. But I do understand that it can cause pressure to not be seen to be mean. So maybe its time to set a few ground rules ...and anybody who sends more than that its up to them.

Right,
On Thursday I received my "stick a stick in" parcel from Pantomimehorse. This was in the middle of my mass bombing. As a result, and MUCH to my shame the exact contents of his kind parcel have been forgotten.
I am very sorry if this seems rude of me, or seem unappreciative, that is not the intention at all.
He sent me four sticks, the stand out one of which was a H.U. Magnum 50.
I am very grateful and he should be receiving my items soon.
I would also like to thank him for organising this entire "event".

A Punch RE from Benelux, one of the 'Nothern Lights' (Never before. I'm honoured)

Nice to hear these made it without problems! The Fuente is the Sun Grown wrapper Chateau Fuente and the RE is actuallt from Scandinavia :p.
Don't be scared about the Bahia blu toro, it's a quite pleasant mild medium.
As we speak, I have jusy received your parcel. Off to see what's inside :849:!
I got that excited researching, I couldn't read Alberto:biggrin1:
<TABLE class=tab-re-news><TBODY><TR><TD class=released-std>Punch</TD><TD class=released-std>Northern Lights</TD><TD class=released-ita>Petit Edmundo</TD><TD class=released-cen>52</TD><TD class=released-cen>110</TD><TD class=released-std>Nordic Countries</TD><TD class=released-std>Habanos Nordic</TD></TR></TBODY></TABLE>
I guess there's a clue in NORDIC:smile:
Was I right about the Northern Lights part?

Anyone else still waiting for their sticks? Mine still haven't come through :-(
Might be problems with the post the at the moment but, having just done a quick search, my partner hasn't been active on the forum for over a fortnight. I hope there's not a problem his end. On the upside, it is definitely building up the suspense!

Postal wise - I know: the phrase "bloody ridiculous" springs to mind. Other member wise - I'm sure he'll be back, I was just concerned that he was OK really!

Well what can I say, the man does not like the post office, but when he gets there its worth the wait, a lovely looking haul arrived today from Big T for the stick a stick in and I'm very happy, the highlight I think is the rather special looking 2004 Cohiba , can you help me out with ID of the unbanded sticks Trev?

I hope the tube included fills your requirement and makes up for the delay and odd mix of smokes.
The larger of the three un-banded is just a regular NC smoke, a casual smoke, in my book. The two smaller ones, well "suck em and see".
