I was reading Michale69's thread with interest and noticed a load of us used to smoke or still do. I bet very few cigar smokers go straight to cigars with smoking ciggies first.....let's find out :biggrin1:

Of course as a kid I had the occasional cigarette when out drinking etc, but never actually 'smoked' as such. I went straight to cigars.

Used to smoke the occasional cigarette when I was a student. Unsurprisingly the closer it got to exam time :afraid: the more I smoked

Stopped completely 6-7 years ago and about 6 months back I started smoking the occasional cigar. It picked up since then :biggrin1:.

It's easy to role-play with a chunky cigar prop - insanely, if necessary - and that's part of the actorly fun for me.

Incidentally, I have no experience of rolling tobaccos (See above). Nobody will persuade me I need to try the stuff. The roll up smoke that has passed my nostrils has smelt bloody awful without exception. Golden Virginia seems to be a particular bag of acrid shite and I don't know why people play with it.

Where to stop?... British machine-made cigarettes give out a smell of a welder's shed. 100% not good.

I am so pleased not to be a slave to cigarettes... AND that I can take a decent break from Havanas without getting the merest sign of the bends.

PS Apologies for my gross insensitivity if you're hooked, chaps... :)

I think I've just shot myself in the foot re another thread.

I'm sort of saying up there why smoking SHOULD be banned in arcades and the like.

Started on cigs as a teen, graduated to a pipe in my thirties. The interim decade involved quite a bit of that other weed. Now smoke big, fat ceegars and still go back to the occassional pipe.

I bet very few cigar smokers go straight to cigars with smoking ciggies first.....let's find out :biggrin1:
