I was wondering if anyone knows if it possible to buy duty free while in transit through a non EU airport.
I'll be flying to Sweden next week, but for a number of reasons (don't ask ) it will be through Zurich. Had a look at on of the Duty free shops there (this one (http://www.dutyfreeparadise.ch/zrh_d_en.html)) and they have some nice 3-packs at a pretty good price (not as good as the online prices but not too far from that) which I might grab if I can and have enough time between flights.
Thanks!

there should be shops while in transit and even though they may not be duty free Switzerlands still good for cigar prices.
I dont even remember what zurich airport looks like, i was completely wrecked when I went there, but i'm sure they have an arena in the airport for concerts, etc, which I found strange...just some pointless info.

Probably stating the obvious here but if you have access to the shops while waiting for a connecting flight then I would assume you can use them. This was the case when down in South Africa and waiting for connecting flights.
Unless there are specific restrictions based on destination and/or departure countries.

Just back today.
Didn't manage to stop at the big duty free shop in the main airport building because of the fantastic  combination of an already short transfer time between flights becoming even shorter because of flight delays, but luckily there is a second small DF close to the A terminal gates and I managed to grab these just before jumping on the plane:

Prices not too bad, the only one that comes to mind now was the Petit Robustos which were 16£ for the three.
