We've already got rid of any nude ladies in case I get in trouble with our ISP, however, we're still posting the odd scantily clad lady and a couple of people have said they like it - and another couple who believe it would be best off of the board.

:nerd:I'm more inclined to allow things to flow in a nature way, like most rivers try to do. Those that enjoy it here will and should hang around and those that don't will likely leave to go somewhere else (or start their own forum) that reflects their own views and values where like-minded folks will gravitate, instead of trying to impose their wills on other (right, :usa2:mi amigos buenos al notre?).

I joined this forum because of the openness of thought and the freedom of expression found here without worrying too much about what others think (obviously), not to be part of a PC type of place.

But that's just me, :bandit: TJ, TJCoro, and I guess if I don't like it, I can leave, right muchachos!

I do think that there could be some kind of agreed code in the thread titles to display that it is one of those threads. The number of times I have looked at a thread to find a picture is staggering. Nothing against the pics, but not that interested either.

If I knew that's what it was then I would probably not open it. Or a new main catagory for them?? That way people can read them or leave them with no confusion.

I certainly don't want anything banned because I wouldn't like it to be that kind of place here.

It's just there are SO MANY of these posts! I worry I am missing out on cigar action in the NSFW posts. It's not like I'm some kind of prude either, I could provide examples but it would kinda conflict with the point of the argument. :P

It feels out of place to me here, but I would always choose not to ban anything if I could help it.

Putting aside the issue we're voting on, I am pleased we don't just write about cigars on here. I see it as a place for all manner of stuff. Speaking absolutely personally, if it was ONLY about cigars, I'd get bored off my skull after a while and walk. The top forum in the list that Deano created allows for this variety of topic, ie General Off-Topic Chat.

The opinions expressed by 'newbies' are as valid as those of us who have been around here since the start. The place is, after all, barely one year old.

After having read the different views here, I opted for the fourth choice. NSFW material is not for everyone - and it even may offend some users. That is exactly why the NSFW tag is so useful.

As long as everyone is sensible and uses discretion - ie not overloading a cigar forum with too many beautiful women - I should think everything would continue to run smoothly.

I find myself agreeing with TJ at the start of this thread. There's a problem when members' dislikes of certain things begin to shape the tone or permissiveness or strictness of a forum.
