Tried the Alec Bradley Spirit of Cuba, courtesey of either Boss hog or CJ.

Really nice afternoon smoke and one of the better NC I have smoked, if i am honest.

I would consider a box of these, even although I know nothing about the brand at all.

I was gifted one of these by Deano (ty!). My one was a lil bast, really bad lighting issues, It offered poor smoke volume, and not much depth at all. Maybe I just got a wrongun, but it didn't leave a good impression. I won't rule out AB though, as the MAXX series is pretty damn good.

Next time maybe i'll have similar luck to you :D

Behold, the 90-rated Select Cabinet Reserve....Alec Bradley’s highly acclaimed follow-up to the 94-rated Tempus. This special handmade utilizes the highest priming tobaccos available from select fields throughout Central America. A dark Honduran wrapper with a beautiful reddish hue conceals a vintage recipe of premium Nicaraguan and Honduran long-fillers. This superior combination imparts an elegant array of buttery-smooth nuances enhanced by notes of toast, nuts, and sweet spices. The smoke is medium in body throughout the slow burn, producing a savory ‘n complex experience you’ll quickly add to your daily routine.
Just bought 2 of these by A B can't wait to recieve them!
My how he has come a long way.
The tempus is a dynimite cigar and the reviews are even better for the Select Cabinet Reserve
Will post review as soon as I smoke it.

Never even heard of Alec Bradley, doesnt even sound like a cigar brand...

However I got a couple of issues of Cigar Aficionado in the other day and i've started to make a list of Non cubans that I would like to try...this one will get addedd to said list.

Having looked around (at adverts) and then read up on certain NC brands, the ABs were added to my list of NCs to stock if I ever get my little cigar store. They remain on that list. :)

I picked up 10 Alec Bradley S.C.R yesterday from C.I. I hope they are as good as the Tempus. Looking forward to your review.

I'm partial to The Medalist, myself. Gordo. Big, honking cigar. Two+ hour smoke. Absolutely delicioso, with a lovely draw, billows of smoke, and a wonderful aroma. Can be had for a very reasonable $3.50 or so USD (about £2) for a packet of 10.
