Nice out of ten people who join think that Profile Picture is what people see when you post in the top left hand corner of your post. In fact, this is the pic you see when you go to a person's profile.
The AVATAR is what you see in each person's post. Due to the constant confusion, I've turned off Profile Picture so you only have the option to upload an avatar.

Deano,
I still can't see from the link you provided how you would actually go about uploading an avatar...it simply doesn't invite you to.
I'm probably being especially thick, but you may need to expand on your original instructions for dopes like me.
Thanks,
Wildwood

Is there a set number of posts required or a set time limit set before a member can add an avatar to their profile? :)
I'm just wondering this as I've been able to add a few pics to the profile, but I still can't add an avatar :)
Willie
same here i can add one either

My son painted me and his granddad for an A Level Art project about three years ago. This puts it into perspective.

Bryan, your son did an awesome job on that painting. I just can't understand why he made me look so cartoonish in the painting he did of me for my avatar? I'm sure I don't really look like that...

That looks like something on a Rice Krispies packet, Joe! ;)
Actually it's fine! HUD, yes?
My older boy is doing his final year of Art at Uni. He makes good videos, too.
The market is full of Damien Hirst (sp?), Tracy Emin, Sam Taylor-Wood types.
Student loans are pitiful, I think. I got more in my full grant cheque in the late 70s than my boy does today.
Mind you, dossing around and having free and easy sex all day long is way better than the 9 to 5. I'd give up my riches for that again in a heartbeat. :cowboyic9:
