I'm Willie, 28 from Northern Ireland and have been smoking cigars on and off over the past 12 years, but have only started really getting into cigars over the past year or so :)

I started off smoking Hamlet and Castella cigars, then onto Henri Wintermans, King Edwards and occasionally some Balmoral tubos Coronas, untill a friend of mine brought me a pack of Phillies Titans back from vacation a few years ago , and I've been a fan of of the Phillies Titan/Titan black cigars since :)

It's great to be here and to have a change to chat with other fellow cigar smokers and to get to know more about cigars, humidors, etc in general :)

Thanks Andy, I really appreciate it buddy :)

I was having a good laugh at some of the postings in the General Discussion threads :)

Q: What an Osterich, a Pelican and the Inland Revenue have all got in common?
A: They can all stick their bills up their @rse

I couldn't resist posting that one, especially with the high cost of living nowadays :)

Thanks for the good welcome, I really appreciate it buddy :)

Hope to catch you around also, I'm a bit of a newbie at cigars myself, even though I've been smokin the buggers on and off for 12 years :) lol

Thing is, Willie, that this place helps you to learn new stuff about cigars as well as larking about from time to time. Pretty good mix.

Some of the other forums I looked at were very, very serious. I'm not serious in real life, so the relaxed silky brown Hoyo fug on here suits me well.

I agree with ya wholeheartedly, I took a look at the Cigar Aficianado website late last night and although it's great to see they take the time to rate different cigars, it's just a wee bit too serious for my liking, I'd rather just try different cigars, and have 2 different categories, cigars that I like and cigars that I don't like :) lol

The more relaxed, humourous and lighthearted discussion about cigars or anything is always more enjoyable, than being a bit too serious :)

I reckon there's room for both seriousness and hilarity...like Robusto says, I like to learn new stuff as in enhances my cigar-smoking pleasure...but if it ain't fun, then I won't stick around.

I suppose I take my pleasures seriously, but I'm not serious about my pleasures...(not sure that makes sense, but what the hell!)...

It makes perfect sense :)

It's like you prefer to make the most of the things you enjoy, but without doing them to excess or worrying too much about the finer details of why you enjoy the things you do :)

I find some of the Cigar Aficionado videos utterly hilarious, and I think mine are more of the people.;)
