Oi you can't sign off like that! lol
Yeh I have given it thought....but personally I think we don't have enough users for a chat room - by putting one on the site people will use that instead of posting on the forums, making the forum less used.
Not sure what others think, but this was my personal view.

I'd like a chatroom but think you might be right, Deano. The threads might go stale and be abandoned.
Should we go round hounding people to join up to swell the general numbers?

A lot of guys & dolls have said about this,as i think it would certainly encourage more peeps to join in on converstions within the forum as it is a pain havin to send private messages and havin to upload messages, would think it would benifit from this, im sure wouldnt effect the normal forum posts as this brings interest and humour. It would also i think make the forum more active and invite newcomers to join the cigar forum, ive also noticed we have a lot of people who have joined but not yet replied to any posts yet or even come in and say hello, perhaps this might encourage newbies to come in staight away just to break the ice and get to know people.its upto you what you think about this?.

You could be right, Smokie.
I've approached two stogie Facebookers of mine and will write to them again to consider joining up.
Most of my Kent herfers have renounced smoking, but tonight I'm killing two birds with one stone and meeting up with two cigar buds whilst checking out a a country pub where we've been invited to play. They're just starting up live bands, which is certainly bucking the trend of pubs closing down. I think the pub may be too small, but I'll go and look. Best bit will be the patio robusto. :cowboyic9:

As I said before, u all go in, and leave immediately, so noone sees each other. If you each stuck around for longer than 2 mins you'd see others.

Be great if we could see that someone was in there, prior to logging in...dunno if that's possible or not, but would be a good feature...

At bottom of main forum view you can now see who's in chat.
You can also see who's visited the forums today,
As usual I appear as an odd nickname or blank lol, need to sort that out.

Hey Guys :)
I have noticed this mornong, that if you're in the chatroom, but you aren't being displayed as your screen name, you can click on the red button of the top corner of the chat room, that will then bring up a small window that allows you to log into the chatroom with your own username :)
The wrong name(s) are still displayed on the forum index page as to who is in the chat, but that can probably be sorted out at a later time with a little help from the creator of the chatroom programme :)
I thought that this would be worth mentioning to help out a little :)

Chatrooms are funny things. I've known groups spontaneously combust because of them! lol :smoke:
