View Full Version : The Conclusion to the first international group, mass, mega bombing.

As most, if not all of your know by now, for the last couple of weeks (roughly) I have been receiving parcels in the post containing a wide selection of smokes.

Apparently some weeks ago GMan secretly (from me) messaged around the members trying to organise a mass bombing of ME!

I do not know why he has done this and I was always taught to question somebodies motives was rude. All I will say to him is thanks, hugely.

I have to assume this has something to do with some of you knowing I have now been out of work for a disgustingly long period of time.

I had some bad news regarding a job last week, about the same time the first parcel arrived, it was from ACMCC. I messaged him to ask if he was bombing me, he said he was. The surprise package brightened my day enormously. The next couple of parcels that arrived I thought had been sent to me to pass on to Rokkitsci. This secret bombing had been put together under the auspices of being for Rokkitsci as he was going into hospital for an operation, but this appears to have been a little white lie (but apparently he is having an operation, I need to speak to him). When I realised (and confirmed) everything that was arriving was intended for me I was gob-smacked, shocked, grateful and confused.

Some people appear to be operating under the mistaken idea that I am a nice guy. I am not, I am a miserable sod at the best of times, just as Jimmeh.

I include below some pictures I took today of the mega bomb all collected together. The pictures show roughly the bomb contents but not exactly. The packages have been mixed into my humidors as they have arrived so I cannot remember exactly what was in each. If you know you sent something that is not shown then please comment.

The most recent additions are still in cellophane, as seen in the pictures but that has now been removed for storage. The contents of my "stick a stick in" with Pantomimehorse are also shown as this arrived at the same time.

I will not list who sent what, that somehow seems crude to me. It also allows me to say that I think the Cohiba Esplendido I was sent is a fake. A flat, non-embossed label with the brand name in black, not gold. I know the old Cohiba band was like this, but so are the fakes, comment anybody? It is the thought that counts remember, I just hope you did not buy an entire box!

To ALL those who took part, HUGE HUGE HUGE thanks. It was a highlight to a bad few weeks that I genuinely appreciate.

I tried to put together a funny bomb related post, but really I just wanted a big thanks message to go out, so you get this honest message instead.

If you contributed and I did not mention you, MESSAGE ME. Your parcel may be missing or just not have arrived. IF you did not participate, have I offended you in some way? LOL

are you sure it wasn't a sig V? I sent the siglo V with the old label, got it from selfridges store so pretty sure its legit... 2002 the year on it was. is that the one you meant?

That is the cigar I mean, I was not going to mention specifics. Are you sure, it is appears to big for a Siglo V. Either way, huge thanks.

ahahaha i was waiting for the jimmeh to turn up. if i had've been sure id have kept it for myself and shoved a couple of villiger in for big T :D:rolleyes:

esplendido/sig V what does it matter anymore now ive married ms :love:lusitania. (or is she an 898!?!?! i just cant be sure anymore:frown::frown:)

No Big T! I really cant see them. I tried to play a video on youtube a few minutes ago and I had a problem there too. Maybe it is just me! Sorry about that!

Seriously- I see them!!! Cuban in top one- NCs all the way down- the bottom one has a tin of hoyos.

Perhaps the postal strike has delayedte images getting to your local servers?

Congrats to everyone who participated - that was some awfully nice BOTLness right there.

(I have an old Cohiba with the same label, you probably have a very fine old puro on your hands).

OK folks, I need some help from the kind folks that sent me cigars for my mega bomb, or maybe my stick-a-stick in parcel.

I smoked one of the sticks in London on Saturday night. It was a long cigar, maybe close to Churchill size (roughly) and was a dark chocolate colour wrapper, maduro style. It had no band. It was one of the cigars I was sent in my mega-bomb/stick-a-stick-in deliveries. I do not remember who it was from as it had no band and they all arrived pretty much at once, I am sorry if this appears rude.

Well it was a GREAT smoke. I mean sit back and look at the damn thing and go "wow" smoke. I had assumed it was an NC as it had no band and maybe it came from one of the Americans, I am not sure. Well I NEED to know what it was, PLEASE. If it was a CC it was a great smoke and I want MORE. If it was an NC then HOLY COW, since when did they make anything that good!

I have three poor quality (iPhone) pictures of it attached below. Please guys, shout if you think you sent me that stick and can advise on what they hell it was.

It was from me, an NC I got in Vegas, a Rolando Reyes snr maduro 5 yr old, swapped them for some cubans with a poker playing cigar collector, I'm out in Portugal for the EPT in a couple of weeks and I've asked him to bring some more to swap, can swap you a few if you fancy.....:smoke:

If it was an NC then HOLY COW, since when did they make anything that good!

Most of his cigars I really enjoy but folks here think they suck. I like the taste profile and complexity . Never had a bad 1. If U never read about Rolando Reyes sr. Google past articals and you'll be amazed how anil he is about his factorys and rollers.
Most here bash his work but its 1 of the best selling cigars in the U S. Im Glad that the bombing has helped U discover the wonderful world of BOTL and what we all learned since we started burning Castro's crops to the ground." Sorry I used you line but it FITS! Enjoy my BOTL Enjoy

rolando reyes makes the puros indios too. man if thats what it was you are in luck! that is a pretty inexpensive cigar.

Well..apparently these one's are not on the market, they where a test batch, or a small batch - that where rolled a few years ago, they then changed the blend, maybe due to lack of supply or consumer taste!
they would have probably gone out as a Puro's Indios reserve as the tobacco was aged before rolling, they where not expensive, I swapped them for some large cubans two to one more or less.
I've asked him to bring me 20/25 and I'll take a selection of cuban's to swap (going to save some for others who have already asked) happy to swap you a few if you like (can only do swapsies as post from retailers is now impossible to the island!...so my only sources are duty free/duty paid on me travels) I'm back at the end of the month...I'll pm you if I have some...:smoke:
