Cohiba Esplendido's - Dom Rep Fakes ?

These were a box included in my recent humidor purchase.

I was confused because the label is similar to the cuban ones but state Dominica on the labels. I though the Dom Rep Cohiba logo had the red dot in it.

Anyone seen them before ?

yes! those are the liquor store cohibas here in the us. they are not made by general cigar like the authentic dominican cohiba.

I have always thought this about fakes. Ok, they may not be the genuine article but if they were bough knowing there were fakes then the price will reflect that. End of the day I would always say try one and see how it is. If it is good then deband them and keep them as a non branded cigar. If they are bad then either give them to people who don't have cigars often and won't know the difference (banded or unbanded - that is the question) or chuck them.
