I am most interested to hear the thoughts from anybody who has tried the new Cain range from Oliva. They are entirely made from ligero leaf, this should mean a unique and maybe interesting smoke. So anybody?

Never tried these either......but if you are interested in ligero cigars I can highly recommend the la flor dominicana ligero or better yet the double ligero. Only had one of each myself. But the double ligero really blew me away. Don't know that I've ever had a cigar this strong before. Very flavorful too. Put me on my ass for sure. Thought I was gonna die or something! I saw a big white light and everything! Lol

Well, you selected my smoke for this evening. Smoking the Habano wrapped version. Nice construction, smooth oliy wrapper and quite firm.

Bit of spice from the get go. Calmed down in the first 1/2 inch. Reminds me a bit of the Rocky Patel Edge but a bit smoother. Not as strong as I would have suspected for an all ligero smoke. This tobacco must have some good age on it as it's smooth and not a bit harsh. Nice even burn with a good amount of smoke. Lots of spice through the nose but more of a wood and leather on the finish with a bit of pepper in the back of the throat now and again. I've been told it gets stronger as you burn it so we shall see!

The Ligero is triple fermented to stop the Harshness.

I am going to smoke a Cain F tonight!

Coming into the home stretch now. Pretty smooth to the end. A bit of cedar and sweeter woods with a nice earthyness. Little increase in the power but not a kick in the teeth. The volume of smoke is great but it's a "thin" smoke and not at all overpowering and thick like some fuller bodied smokes. Great blend.

I would like to smoke a few more but it seems to be worthy of a box purchase.

Enjoy Matt. If you like fuller cigars you wont be disappointed!

When the King speaks on this one you should listen ! This is a cigar worth the Money. Its a full body full flavor stick of Dynamite. Not overly overpowering but not for the beginner! One look at this stogie and you knowthat it was well thought out and to made perfection. For a long and exciting adventure they also make a factory press which is even longer and more full bodied cigar. Both are produced by the same factory and name. I believe dollar for dollar the only cigar that is better as far as flavor profile then the La flor dominicana ligero is the 601 green which is produced by none other the Don Pepin Now the double ligero And Factory Press by LFD Are in a leauge of their own !

I found the F to be pretty powerful. I enjoyed it very much, but don't recommend it on an empty stomach

I don't really know what to compare it too. It is probably the strongest cigar I have smoked and I have smoked the Camacho Triple Maduro and LFD Chisel numerous times.

I think someone new to cigars would find it too strong. It didn't have as much flavour as I was hoping, but it was still enjoyable

I have sent him a message saying that you may be calling him. It would prob work out cheaper if they are shipped to you and then split to the guys in the UK. Being as orders over $100 are shipped free.

Seeing how some of our fine brother here have showed an intrest in
CAIN By Oliva
here is the lowdown!:849:
If we get enough people to order 4 sampliers we get the shipping to Me as I am in the U S and its free to here
Then I will ship to someone in the U K who will then ship to the brothers In the UK.
Im not sure the cost to post 5 cigars in the UK but here to almost anywhere under $4.00 first class 2 to 3 day delivery!
All involved should add $7.00 for all shipping and if its less the guy recieving on UK end will keep it to do what he wants. On the US side $4.00 will cover all shipping any extra I'll send 1 hitch hike with every package either way.
OK Heres the POOP

Went up to my favo(u)rite cigar tavern a week ago Saturday to watch some college football (the American kind, not the civilized version you folks play that we call soccer). The proprietor, a friend, runs up to me and sez "You gotta try this new see-gar" and promptly hands me none other than the absolutely gorgeous dark, dark brown Cain double toro maduro! WOW! I spent the next two hours in Nirvana! This is a superb cigar.

I have smoked both the Cain Habano and Maduro. As you all know they are not all ligero since the cigar wouldn't burn well at all. The Cains are stronger than most cigars and I wouldn't smoke more than two of them at one sitting.

They are good cigars but, there are more interesting blends out there. I think I like the NUB cigars a little more than the Cain's.
