I've seen cigar passes before but I've never been in one. Is anyone interested in having an international cigar pass? We could keep it strictly Non-Cuban if you want, or a "no holds barred" pass. I'll start it out with the following cigars if you're interested:
Alec Bradley Harvest 1997 Double Corona
Sol Cubano Cuban Cabinet #4
2 x Punch Gran Puro Santa Rita
Nub Cameroon Torpedo
Padron 1964 Principe
La Gloria Cubana Glorias Extra
Macanudo 1968
Let me know your thoughts :41:

I'm gonna take a smoke in the dark, but I think that it's basically a cigar swap :), where whatever cigars that you would like to exchange for something different, and the exchange is sorted out between 2 people whoever wish to exchange sticks :)
I could be wrong though, it's really just a complete guess :)

The way I've seen them work is that several people sign up for a pass by sending their addresses to whoever is in charge of it (Pass Proprietor). The PP sends a package of cigars to the first person on the list. That person takes two cigars and puts in two of equal value and mails it to the next person on the list. The idea is that you get the opportunity to try new cigars by swapping. The only rule is that you have to be fair with what you take out and put in. If you take out an Opus X (which is hard to find for less than $25 or $30) you need to put in something that is comparable in price. I can make it easier by putting the prices of the starting cigars on the list in the package and when you take out your two cigars you can cross them off the list and write in the two that you added with the prices you paid for them.
This is new to me too though. It just sounds like a cool idea for a bunch of people who like to try new things. :cowboyic9:

Great idea, but I'll pass as well I'm afraid...getting to a post office is not straightforward where I live, and I'll be paranoid that I've not packed them right, and they get broken or something...:ohwell:

Let's see if we can get a few more people. I'll give it a few more days and then PM all interested parties for their addresses. We'll give it a go!:cowboyic9:
