Smoking conditions: Cool and pleasant in my office with a room for a little ventilation.

CIGAR: Hoyo de Monterrey (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hoyo_de_Monterrey) No. 2 (also known as the Hoyo de Monterrey ?picure No. 2)
SIZE: Robusto or Rothschild
GAUGE: 50 ring gauge
LENGTH: 4 7/8" length (124mm)
ORIGIN: Havana, Cuba
BURN: Perfectly formed despite my bad lighting
ASH: Very very strongly formed, due to high packing, expect a couple of inches at least
SMOKE: Dense volume, as I expect from a decently packed Robusto
STRENGTH: Mild to strong. Majorly consistent throughout. No bitterness or heat.
FLAVOUR: Sweet and spicy peppers, and definite cocoa flavours.

Appearance 5 out of 5: Very solid and firm construction, probably more than most, with a perfect form.

Aroma 4 out of 5: Lovely smell, not overwhelming, soft and delicate.

Burn 19 out of 20: Perfect.

Draw 4 out of 5: Very packed so a little effort needed, but even the smallest produces flavour.

Taste 66 out of 70: A beauty, I'll be buying more.

Total: 93.

Thanks to Dean for the review format - which I believe we should all stick to now... :hail:
...Although I added length and gauge and a pic, which I think is all a must from now on. I also added draw.

Great review. There is so much info I feel like I was smoking it too!

By the way DRAW seems like a great component to rate cigars on, but the only thing is that it adds 5 points on to the 100 point scale. Does that mean that you scored the cigar a 93 out of 105 or 93 out of 100? Just curious.

Larry nah I didn't average it out, just gave it what I thought it was out of 100 in total.

Just had my second, and it's got to be in my top 3 or 5 cigars.

I rate Hoyo no1 and no2 very high, also Sancho Panza Belicosos, Monte no2 and Edmundo, Punch Punch, Partagas Lusitanias,RASS robusto,Cohiba Siglo VI and Robusto,Partagas Serie D4....
In no particular order.

I am still ordering loads of cuban singles from Monte trying them out A-Z.
