i was sorting my humidor out this morning, refilling the humidifier, arranging my cigars.......was well happy with myself! the 2 and a half year old son was sitting playing with his lego! doorbell, postman........parcel for the missus! on my return, my son had stopped playing with lego and gutted my humidor! casualties:
4 magnum 50's!
2 magnum 48's
2 dukes
1 hdm epicure especial
1 hdm epicure no. 2
3 short churchills
2 secretos....
i was gone for approx 50 secs! he stood there saying 'helping my daddy' and smiling, offering me the severed sticks! i was not angry, just very sad! totally my fault, what was i thinking? anyway, shit happens.........i'm off to kick the neighbours dog and have a good cry in my shed! i think i'll be a better man for it!
all the best,
alex:frown::eek:

All my condolences for the defunct sticks.
Might have its uses... at least if you need something to give your son a sense of guilt when he's older now you have a story to use :biggrin1:

Certainly you are aware that you can legitimately KILL THE BOY TO DEATH and no jury in the land will convict you.
Children are quite easy to replace. The lost vitolas, however...
I mourn for their passing and offer you sincerest condolences.

i guess i just gotta replace them!!!! it's only the dukes i'm bothered about, i only had the 2! ah well........

Ooooh thats really unlucky. I feel your pain.
Still you can always replace them from his xmas and birthday money for the next year or two or if you still have the receipts from any of his xmas presents get your money back and replace them.
He has to learn how bad tobacco can be for you.

Pipe tobacco? jk, that really sucks. I remember I set a custom roll down on a shelf and it fell and landed just perfectly so the wrapper literally shattered and the cigar was destroyed. Not a good feeling.

lol, i have to say, you guys have really cheered me up!:smile: i really mean that!! thanks a lot! though, i can't say that the suggestions of death, amputation and other forms of capital punishment were ever an option........ i find it impossible to punish the wee man! i remember a dramatisation of peter sellers' life on bbc3 a while ago.........similar situation! peter sellers was washing his car (an aston martin i think), was called away to answer the phone, his 6 yr old son thought to help him finish off..........with brillo pads! the look on his face when his son said, 'look daddy, i'm washing your car for you' after removing the paint from the side was priceless.......nothingness! i was horrified by what happened next.........peter sellers brought his son indoors and made him watch as he destroyed his bedroom and everything in it!!!
that is most definitely not me!!! lol:smile:!!! all that was lost can be replaced fairly cheaply on the internet!!! the magnum 48's are Ģ11 here in belfast, almost as cheap as they are online ($14 for a single), so i'll buy a couple tomorrow! i think i'll be hittin' cuban lou's for a couple of singles of said casualties (the dukes for a start), $50 to get me a new selection of stick to try! saying that, a box of 10 hdm epi especials are pretty cheap, and it may be an opportunity to get a box of 10 p2's as well!!!
:dance::peace:
anyway, again, cheers guys!!! :smile::849:
all the best,
alex

Awww mate sorry to hear that. Similar thing happened to me when my son was 2. I was lying on the floor, he was fighting me. He sat across me and fell forward, shattering my nose lol. I couldn't shout at him for laughing, took loads of stick off my mates too for it lol
Good luck with getting your new stogies

Now might be a good time to invest in a pipe and not let that fine tobacco go to waste.

Not all is lost, as some BOTlīs already posted you could use the tobacco in a pipe itīs called "Picadura" here, the only thing you have to do is to try and cut the cigars in a ribbon stile like used in pipe tabacco.
Another thing you could do with the wraper is to save it to patch some cigars that are in a bad shape with glue.
Itīs a pitty to see this happen, but itīs only cigars and the joy of a children is priceless.

Indeed !! I feel your pain SR and would be quite upset as well but that's the kind of trouble we must take with the great pleasure of young kids. Not sure it's really of any use but i let my 2 y o play with a cigar sometimes (for a few seconds and watching closely ). Somehow hope she's learning not to destroy those beauties if she gets hold of them by herself.
