Just a couple of notes regarding the RyJ Churchill, and for that matter the short Churchill..

First, the short Churchill has less to do with the "full" Churchill than you might at first think. It may or may not be the same blend (I do not know) but do note it is not just a short version, it is a different gauge also. It is a short Churchill in name only.

Second, and this is more a personal opinion, it is far from the best of the Churchill format cigars. Although it is the most famous I would be far more excited to smoke the Hoyo Churchill or the H. Upmann Sir Winston, as well as a few others. The Sir Winston flew under my radar for a long time, but by god it is a GREAT smoke. If you have deep pockets the Cohiba Esplendido is a stand out cigar but not to my taste. The SLR Churchill also has its has its fans around these parts. No experience of the Bolivar version MUCH to my shame as I am fast becoming a huge fan of Bolivar. If I had to pick one I would strongly push for the H Upmann Sir Winston.

I agree with T about the H. Upmann Sir Winston, a really good cigar....No! a Bloody good Churchill Puro.
BUT, I do love the R&J Churchill and smoke them all the time...Tubes are great for away days...:cool:

I too have not had a Bolivar version...SHAME ON ME!!:mad:

the R&J churchill is a fantastic smoke, only point i would make is , as im not sure you are considering buying cigars by the box or singles, why not try a few singles of various orientation see what suits you best..

As mentioned previously the short is a robusto and smokes and tastes different from the superior Churchill.

The RyJ Churchill is a good smoke, It was one of my favorite smokes until very recently, I've now moved onto stronger full flavoured smokes.

All the smokes mentioned are good smokes, but remember that the taste of every cigar will be influenced by what you've eaten or drank. I've had some great ciagrs that have started off really badly taste wise, because of what has gone before.
