View Full Version : Forum Downtime

We had a night of downtime last night as the popularity of the site caused our host to remove it from their shared space.

We're moving over at around 2pm-3pm GMT today to a new dedicated server, which should resolve all our previous issues regarding 503 errors etc.

It costs more, so the donate button will have to be pressed quite a bit more!

I keep getting a 503 when I click donate,.

Deano, I have already offered twice to host this lovely site on my own dedicated servers. My uptime for the last three years has been 100% which means that my sites haven't missed a single second of being accessible. If you change your mind, I am always available to host this great community and trust me, I am hosting far more popular ones already so you are going to have no worries!

Why is everyone ignoring what I'm saying? It is broken, and will be broken until server change over at between 2-3pm.

Deano,
I wrote this in the contact us area below, but started thinking that might go to the company that designs the site and not you. I hit the donate button above and it took me to paypal, but then it usually has everything filled out and I just enter my password and hit pay and it's done. It didn't show anything for me to do. I need an email address to just send money so maybe the link needs fixing or you can send me instructions. Please email them to me and be sure to sign your name because I started thinking the website designer might do the same :)

I've deleted personally identifiable info Rick and I'm unsure it has reproduced faithfully on screen, but it's about right. Of course the donation amount has been halved to the usual that Deano makes us pay so as not to scare folk off:tonguecheek::p

Well, looks like I did it again. Hijacked a thread. :hail:

It worked this morning. I honestly have been posting on message boards for over ten years and never had any problems. I do not see here how to send a private message (to you) other than with skype or aim, etc., and you weren't on any yesterday so I saw the reply next to your pic on the front page. Sorry. Usually there is a choice to send email direct or leave a message in the inbox on the board.

Okay, your £500 is on it's way. :)

Re PMs, you'll need twenty five posts to get off the ground, but glad to hear you're sorted now:thumb:
