anybody had any experience with Auchentoshan 12 Year Old (http://www.ukcigarforums.com/P-7936.aspx)this is fast becoming my go to malt managed to get through two bottles over the last year and recently acquired a third.
the whiskey shop recently voted this there customers favorite malt of 2009 and for me they are not wrong managed to pick up my last bottle from royal mile whiskies in london for £23 excellent value for the quality.:smile:

I find Auchentoshna is quite nice but in the last 2 years their prices have really gone up, at least at my local shops, so for the price I generally prefer picking up An Cnoc 12y if I can find it.

Still, not a bad malt.

An Cnoc is the new name for Knockando. Just in case oyu can't find one, the other will do....

My first scotch tasting was with the master blender of Auchentoshan (http://www.ukcigarforums.com/P-7936.aspx)when he visited Taiwan. It's owned by Suntory now but still a good lowland distillery followed the three time distilling tradition.
