I knew that rang a bell (http://www.ukcigarforums.com/showthread.php?t=3078&highlight=national+cigar+museum)Tipp.

I had a few emails back and forth with the guy that runs it: it was about some pre-embargo sticks that were being bandied about on here at the time. Nice chap.

Pre-embargo? Guess they were for collectors not smokers. I wonder how many pre-embargo Cuban cigars are sitting in humi's in the US frightened to come out?

Camacho still make pre-embargo tobacco cigars. As I understand it they have tobacco that was bundled and had been aging since 1962 (or erlier) in a barn somewhere that was never rolled. How they authenticate it I don't know.

i've smoked a few of them, they're ok,not great. from what i understand there is only a leaf or two of pre embargo tobacco included.just enough to get away with calling them pre embargo...

1920s Lord of England 50ct boxs, cigars are in prestine condition, most of it life was in wine cellar to my temp control.

There were also some real dinky little things (in five packs), but I can't remember what they were called. The 'Lords of England' range has since been resurrected by Jamaican manufacturers I believe, but I couldn't find out much about them.

I've possibly misled with the term pre-embargo, but with a date of circa 1920, I guess they definately were pre, the embargo (by a couple of years at least:wink:)

I've had a box in the humi for 5+ yerars - they look so sweet I don't want to disturb them. I have smoked one from a box split & it was very nice:

Not my picky, or smokes. Found them on Christophe Wolters blog, via Google.
