Anyone got any suggestions for a decent quick smoke type cigar. ie Hamlet type but nice, consistent and enjoyable.
Like a decent cigar when time allows but hate wasting a good cigar on a 15 to 20 min sojourn with a cigarette smoker.
Await your suggestions with a mouthful of worms.

hey rab,
what about the cohiba clubs or mini???? they're about the same size as a hamlet........only they're cuban! oh, and cohiba! great 20 minute smokes!!!!
approx £9 for 10, or £20 for 20!!! there's also partagas and ryj minis!!! typically, 'fancy' old time sweety shops here in belfast sell them, along with over priced tubed cubans!!!!
hope this helps,

also, you could try the bolivar no.3 tubos or the h upmann corona junior, both would fit the 30min mark, both 34 ring gauge and 4.5" approx! both quality small SMALL cigars! approx £6 for the upmann and £8 for the bolivar!!!! however, if its cheap & cheerful everyday smokes you're looking, i reckon the cohiba clubs or minis (check the recent thread about the sexy tin of 50 cohiba minis) and the rest habanosSY suggested!!!!
all the best mate,
alex

If with a cigarette smoker, I generally go with the minis or end up trying not to smoke at all. Last time I did that I ended up smoking about 5 or 6 cigarettes as well which my body did not thank me for...

Not one to sing my own praises:rolleyes: but how about ERDM Demi Tasse? The smallest hand rolled vitola Havanas; far superior to the mini's & similar price, 15-20 mins as requested. Great with Cubita coffee. Well aged ones are sophisticated enough to go with a glass of vintage Champange on a summers afternoon:cool:.
Something completely diffferent, similar price & time, Belinda Princess machine rolled Havana, a little rougher but good out door/ fishing smoke.

In addition to the ERDM Demi Tasse, there's always the Hoyo du Maire.

I'd also agree with the suggestion of the H.Upmann Corona Junior - I had my first on Thursday and it was definitely a decent smoke. :849:
If you can find Danneman (sp?) Moods tubos or their mini cigar/cigarillo filter style thingies, then definitely get some (more often found on the continent). Obviously avoid the flavoured moods... but the others are my go to when skiing. (They do sell them here (http://www.hollandcigarhouse.co.uk/index.php?do=CigarillosView&from=40&step=10)).

About the same size as a Hamlet ...... but miles superior:-
Montecristo Puritos (available and very nice with no draw problems)
RyJ Puritos (little rarer, nice but inclined to be plugged)
Sold packs x 5. Not expensive either. Try here.

For a real taste of Cuba with distinct brand character (I find all minis rather samey):- Partagas Chicos.
I used to buy them in Tenerife in mini dress-boxes of 25, but more recently I've only seen them available in 5 packs.
MRN said they're one of his favourite cigars (although that might have been an earlier hand-made version).

The Party Chicos are great. Not easy to find though.

Beat me to the Chicos, but I believe MRN was referring specifically to the machine-made variety. I love this cigar when I want a quick fix. Sometimes I'll even pass over a petit corona in favour for one and enjoy it leisurely. They can be had cheap, benefit from aging and I've found them several times for ridiculous, blow-out prices. I buy them by the hundreds and have some in my humidor since 04 that are doing lovely.

Glad you like the snaps eggopp; keep watching I have over 150 vitolas on file & will trickle load them whilst offshore (I actually have a life at home). Hmmm not sure Frank would be interested in an English site but I'll be sure to recommend UKCF next time I visit:rock:
