A couple of new ones

Picked up a couple of La Rica robustos this morning, now in the humidor chilling. They came straight out of the humidor in the shop so hopefully they won't need too long in mine! Can't wait to fire one of the bad boys up!

Good find Chris .... I've only ever had the La Rica Tubitos and thought those a really decent smoke. Enjoy!

I paid a little over the odds at £7.50 a pop, but there's only one shop within miles that sells decent cigars. If I like 'em there'll be a box of 10 on the way to me...then maybe a nice big 25 cab for summer :D

Cool! I'm sure I'll love them, only found 2 cigars I haven't liked...A Punch Petit Corronation...it was funkin' awful...and a Guantanamera Cristale...I understand why the 'G' word is considered swearing here!

Had one the other day .... I think it could be a great cigar .... if it would let you smoke it! Was such bloody hard work!

I couldn't get any smoke off the freaking thing, it had been sat in my humi at a constant between 65-70% and it was crap. It tasted weak, it burnt unevenly and it was just not worth the work. Shame really, I'd expected such big things from a Punch too :(

Must admit my humi was running a bit too high prior to last week. But I had no burn problems with the Punch, in fact that was impeccable .... the taste was there too, when I could get at it. Was the draw that was the problem. Too tightly rolled in the foot .... hernia work!

I may give it another chance at some point, but not just yet; I'm working through a box of Chinchaleros, and with the La Ricas to try too I may work my way round Nics for a while :lol:
