Greetings cigar lover!

I am new to this forum and decided to become a member as it is the best UK forum about cigars I could find.

Anyroads... I have been enjoying cigars for 'bout 2 years now and buy my stuff from the internet (I know, I am killing the industry in the UK, but hey! I spent enough of my wages on single cigars that cost me half a day's work

I recently discovered that Cuba was not the only country in the world with people able to put filler, binders and wrappers together. What a shock!

And what is even more disturbing is that apparently people are spending good money to smoke these things that don't even have a cuban stamp on their Spanish-cedar-made boxes!

I know. I was dumbfounded too. Until I discovered the truth; Non cuban cigars are cheap and some are excellent.

Cheap, good, "where is the trick?" I asked myself. Well, the trick is that I can't manage to find a website that would allow me to order non cuban cigars, ship them to the UK and enjoy them as much as i enjoy the cuban ones, sitting in my backyard :der:

I know it's forum policy not to advertise websites, but i don't know anywhere else to look. Pleeeeaaaase help :hail:

I want to smoke these dominican and nicaraguan cigars like any american without having to order from the states and therefore pay taxes towards their new Healthcare system

Thanks in advance for your valuable advice :smoke:

Hi & welcome (I think).

My advice is: before joining any new organisation - club, forum etc - familiarise yourself with their rules & try to abide by them if you want to be accepted.

But I agree with your sentiments about NC's - there's a lot of enjoyment (& not just cost savings) to be had from places outside of Castro's control.

:hello: Welcome Senor Aljolsen...

As senor http://smiley.onegreatguy.net/afro.gifEugenesex mentioned, please check out the rules about discussing vendors on this board. :hmmmm2:

A recent http://smiley.onegreatguy.net/rules.gifamendment to the rules prohibits discussing non-UK vendors.

:nerd: Sorry about that, amigo....but dems the rules! (BTW - since this is your first post, I moved your thread to the :willy: Knewbee Greets forum :tsk:)

Names :catsmoker: Perro, el Perro, and I do the posting for don :bandit: TJ and the :grouphug: familia Coro.

:juggle: Cum on El Perro, can't we bend the rules a wee bit?

:catsmoker: (Hurumph!) Juggler Boy, it's a slippery slop once you begin bending the rules....a slippery slope, indeed!

Welcome mate,

Not sure about the rules, but we can kidnap some nicaraguans and lock them in your basement to roll cigars LOL :biggrin1: if that would help!!

Just kidding, but please read the rules :biggrin1:

Thank you all for your warm welcome (and not so warm for some )

I was pretty sure I would not get an answer for that, but I had to try! :sorry:

it's really frustrating not to be able to put my hands on these NC :frusty:

I might put an order with CigarsLtd, evne though I am paying the same price for a NC as I do for a CC (and this makes me doubt about my sanity :loco:)

anyways, I am going to spend a few hours reading threads on this forum and I am sure I will feel better.

So long

Please don't worry about TJ he is rabid and that manifests itself in a hatred of anything new including members of this great forum.

Really great to have you join us here.

And in terms of the costs of cigars versus a weeks pay there is one simple truth discovered by most of us here.......get two jobs!

My old grandma used to say: "don't stick to first impressions, they are often spot on and that could stop you from getting to know very decent people"

I am glad to see members of this forum are reactive. I will surely not ask any stupid questions that break the rules again.

Better?

Hi Nick,

I just realized I saw your video (Cigar London Walk) on youtube a few days ago. Your name sounded quite familiar and your job description too.

I actually thought about creating a Cie doing audioguides too, but for some of France's most beautiful train journey (I am French...) But did not make it happen in the end.

Great vid, thanks!

thanks Eggopp, good to see that cigars and motorcycles can live together.

why not, i live in Greater London (Harrow). i've always been looking for a place to smoke indoors in london, but as the weather gets better, a nice stoggie in Regents Park sounds like a bloody good way of killing some time

Im not sure if its something you do yourself, might need an admin to sort you out.

And if you really want that job where you can smoke cigars and get a few cigars at the end of day, move to Cuba and become a roller :P
