So there i am watching a few Humi's on ebay when last night i snatched one up at the bargain price of £15, alas the old chap in Ripon wants a tenner for postage... A tenner says i to myself, it would cost that in petrol if i pop up to the otherside of Ripon 120 miles in one direction to collect it... Gross mis calculation of fuel costs however as it cost me £12 in fuel.. So have i lost out i ask myself?? Well you tell me!!

I arrive at the this place called Frearby on my bike, and this old boy shows me his Humi.. Sorry about the scratch says he... Oh thats ok says i, still a bargain at £15 and my bike got a good blast for a couple of hours in one directions says i... Expecting to put this Humi in my rucksack, the old boy opens it and says, ive left these 18 La Gloria Cubana Churchill's in it for you, theres nothing wrong with them he says, im just not allowed to smoke anymore..

BIG smile on my face.. oh i suppose i can try them says i.. putting Humi and 18 cigars, churchills at that, into my rucksack.. Would you like a cup of coffee says the old boy.. Errmm thinks I, best make my escape with my £15 humi and smokes, before the old boy gets decended upon by relatives and i lose my free sticks...

Also 6 x JL2's i bought off Whisky77

So here is my £15 Thompson 1915 Humidor which measures 10" x 11" x5 1/2" so about the same size as the one i already have so now ive two desktop humis and the cabinet i was going to buy can now wait..

Nice one mate. Total jammy bugger :)
Are the Glorias NCs?

Im not sure the old biy said they were cubans, he thought maybe 2006 or 7... there dark and strong. Ive looked them up the 2009 churchills are 7 ish inch and 50rg, these are 7 1/4 inch and i think 48rg.

There to strong for me really, although ive already polished off 2 of them, quite nice.

And not the remostest guilty at the contents, given the old boys doc told him to stop smoking, im of the mind set i was doing him a favour taking them haha :biggrin1:

Underneath the cigars i found a V cutter to and its really good

It must be contagious. I bought a small Zino Humi from eBay recently and the lady who sold it to me said that she had some sticks that were of no use to her and would I like them. Not wishing to be rude I gratefully accepted and I ended up in possession of some La Gloria Cubana Maduro Churchills that appear to be identical to those you received. There must be something about them that leads to random acts of generosity.

Yes DeadBase, or something about the sticks that results in death and the other half flogging your kit!! Oh my oh my.. :(
