Hi All

I will be visiting Mexico for a family holiday for 2 weeks.

I had some general information regarding the cigar world of Mexico from TJ Coro.

I would like to get more information if any of you visited Mexico in the past.

I will be in the Riviera Maya region.

The only places to buy cigars that i know in that region is the LCDH in Cancun and LCDH in Cozumel.

I know Big J knew this was obvious, but I had to read it twice but I'm sure he means "authentic Cuban cigars" as there are cigars in every gift shop and even some very respectable looking cigar stores all over Cancun and Cozumel. But the only place you can be sure that they are the real deal is the LCDH stores as they are the licensed distributors of Cuban cigars for all of Mexico. And they also have a lounge for you to smoke in although I prefer the beach as the views are much nicer. :)

be careful.. .mexico is pretty dangerous lately... even had that shooting in cancun in broad daylight...

Thank you for all the feedback. I will take enough sticks to cover my holiday. I hope there will be a LCDH store near my hotel or the airport I will fly back to the UK to purchase more. Cheers..

Hey mate, there is a LCDH in Playa Del Carmen and one in Cancun as well. Look up the Habanos website and it gives the addresses for both. Also, there is a shop that sells habanos at the airport.

If you go to the state, Quintana Roo, our in our case Yucatan, you can get a list of authrorized Habanos retailers in the area.

We have an excellent selection of Habanos in Mexico. Dont let the rabble make you nervous. Find a good retailer and push them to do there best to find great cigars for you.
