Stupid ideas to get the most out of a good cigar

As the nub got shorter and shorter, I could feel the heat getting dangerously close to my fingers. The problem is that there is plenty more tobacco to be smoked on the nub of my cigar as far as I am concerned. So, like an idiot I began to quickly brainstorm ways to handle the ungainly end of the stick rather than let it go out peacefully.

The best idea I could come up with at the moment was to take the beer can I had been drinking, dent it so that the nub could have a place to rest, poke a few holes in it and draw the smoke through the mouth of the can like a pipe. Unfortunately this contraption completely destroyed any pleasantness of the cigar and the can probably leached some dangerous chemicals into the already unhealthy smoke, which left me disappointed and embarrassed.

I don't blame any of you for throwing shit at me should you ever see me in public. :smoke:

There is an alternative idea, but I don't know if the are still available now, but perhaps a cigar holder (Same as a cigarette older, but for cigars) would be a worthy investment for the cigar smoker who likes to get the most out of their stick of choice :)

My late father had to get one after he had to have a few fingers amputated (This was due to diabetis and kidney failiure) and he had a cigar holder as he still enjoyed the occasional stogie when he was still at home and he certainly iddn't hold back from enjoying a good cigar nor did it stop him getting the most out of it either :) lol

And so on thinking back on this, it got me to thinking that perhaps a cigar holder would be just the thing that would be good for the stogieman who likes their stogies to right to very end, and I would like to think that there are various cigar holders that are available to suit a range of cigar ring guages :)

Ok, but did you ever see what happened to Tommy Chong when he tried that trick on some hash in "Up in Smoke"? That wouldn't be fun with a large cigar I'm sure.
