Just returned from Dubai and, as always, could not resist the delights of the duty free. IMHO this is one of the greatest places in the world to buy cigars.
There is an excellent selection and the prices are superb. This time round I loaded up with:
Montecristo Petit Edmundo, box of 10, TGU MAR09 - 300 AED or £53
Montecristo No5, box of 25, PUB AGO08 - 460 AED or £81
R&J Short Churchill, box of 10, SOA DIC07 - 315 AED or £56
The people who work in the shop are pretty rubbish and don't really know a great deal, but I cannot recommend the stock and prices enough!
If you get the chance, defintiely worth a visit.

Just a quick follow-up on the previous post...these Duty Free prices are available on the way in as well as on the way out of Dubai, as there is a shop on both sides.
Cigars are pretty widely available in restaurants and bars in Dubai, but the prices are much more in line with the UK, so bring your own!

This looks promising, I'm due to head out to Qatar in October. Will have to see how that rates.

Those prices wouldn't be far out at all. I picked up a 25ct of JLPCs for about £75, last October, from there.
