I had a Partagas Shorts after breakfast. It's a little gem, fantastic flavour. I am going to fire up a MC No2 right now with a coctail called "Chocolate Martini" made by vodka, dark cacao liqueur and irish cream.

Started my first ever Cain in the park earlier, but due to surprise visitors had to cut it short. Interesting for an NC. Deeper than I expected but seemed to be overly strong just for the sake of it. Definitely one for after dinner. Looking forward to giving it another go when I will be uninterrupted. Hopefully leaving it half-smoked won't ruin this one too much.

Sitting in the sun with Bombay Sapphire & Tonic and my first ever Nub, a 460 Cameroon. Starting to understand what all the fuss is about.
Lovely creamy smoke. Had always been a Cuban guy and still found only a few NC's that really take my fancy. This is definitely one of them. Special thanks to jibjob and Lee for pointing me in this direction.

No breeze just glorious sunshine,, few beers, few J D and cokes, and between me and my other two mates we went through half a dozen La Invicta coronas and as the regular smoker out of us i also polised off 2 different perdomos..
There was pussy everywhere, god you gotta love summer
Great afternoon had by all, then had to catch the train home.. :biggrin1:

Lot of Behikes on the go lately. Perhaps I should get round to investing.
Currently on the patio with a glass of Ardbeg, and continuing the NC vein, smoking a George Reserve. It's pretty enjoyable.

Grrr!!! Had a masterpiece of a reply ready, then my sorry excuse for a laptop decided to go all pathetic on me and complain about memory usage. Man up you piece of refuse!
So, paraphrased.
Lovely day, shame to waste it. Coffee outdoors in town, 'yard-work', cooked 'Somerset Chicken' (by Hairy Bikers - cross-over between Two Fat Ladies and Keith Floyd), then finished the evening off with beer and cigar. I went for a robusto sized CAO La Traviata - a pretty decent not a care in the world type of cigar.

My shorts first run out of 2010. Fingers crossed for a repeat performance tomorrow! One of my world famout barbeques is in order (literally, I've made flames in the States and Aussie-land).
PS. At the risk of encouraging the reprobates... Have to agree with eggopp and G-man - summer brings out the best the world of aesthetics has to offer... ;) :p

Trini Coloniales--nice creamy and peppery little smoke there. Helped me get through the drudgery of grading papers.

Spent the afternoon walking around Blenhiem palace with a hoyo du daupin from a '96 box . Wasn't as complex as I'd hoped but all in all a really nice mellow smoke that built to a medium with a sprinkle of pepper towards the very end.

Like Mast DJ, I started with a Party Short '05, after a full Monty Breakfast, inc mini burgers, saugages & mushrooms. The Short was very flavoursome & a bit stronger than i would normally start the day with but after such a b/fast it went down fine.
Later in the day went to Leuven, to book Student accom for my daught for Oct & afterwards we relaxed in the sun drenched square with coffee & a Palm. For this occasional I lit a LGC No3 '94. It was my best cigar of the yr so far! I wish a had a box of these beauts to pass a few around to those of you how don't get long slim Havanas. The draw was perfect, the flavour fantasic, couldn't believe how much flav was left after 16yrs, right down to the width of it's very small band. I now believe RMN that LGC can age 20yr+ & still improve. I would love to try some more well age examples.

After a few hours fishing in the morning I smoked a Mag46. Smashed my fly caught chub record (5.5lb on a dry fly, out of season I know but thought the shadows were trout...honest I did).
Last night I enjoyed another great RyJ PP EL2005 after a cracking feast of BBQed ribs and giant prawns.

Off topic a sec: Congrats, SM, a 5lb chub sounds challenging to say the least, not the getting it to take, just the safe landing on fly gear, on a small river/stream?
Had a far more modest Pike PB on the fly this week, 2lb 12. Just odered some 5-8" flies from the States, that will hope up that PB very soon.
